Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Buyer beware. I paid 20,000 for a corvette that was supposed to be in turn key condition. I asked the salesman (Trevor) if the AC blew cold point blank so there could be no confusion and he said yes. I was having the car shipped to Tampa area and relied on them to tell me the truth about the car. They shot a video of it running and driving as well as tons of photos however they didn't say that the car was barely running. The car was shipped to me and it barely ran, the AC was totally gone (compressor seals).  The rear end was clunking and had to be replaced. It went from the delivery truck straight to the shop and is still there. The bill is over 6,000 now and it needed new brake master cylinder, ac, rear end and a plethora of other things.

When I called and told them this and that they flat out lied about the cars condition all they could say was "you bought it as is". I did not expect this as I know they deal in a lot of classic cars and figured they would not blatantly lie about the cars condition.  They conveniently left out a photo of the fiberglass door jam that is completely broken and will be a major expense to repair (not worth putting that much money into the car). This was a 77 vette, red, 383 stroker. Still can see their EBay posting.  I will provide all receipts and documentation from my (very reputable classic car) mechanic if anyone is interested just email me at [email protected] or call me at (((REDACTED))). Get an inspection because you can't believe a word these people say. They deliberately and blatantly lied to me about the obvious problems with the car.

Why

What's your stake in this? Why are you even chiming in on this topic? I don't understand what business is it of yours? Is there some motive for you to be concerned in this issue? How about not commenting on the post unless you have some stake in the situation. I won't be replying any further as I don't want to draw attention away from the ongoing issue at hand. I just spoke to Brad who is the GM and we are trying to sort out what happened and why I was "blown off" by the employees handling the sale. If we come to terms and they offer me any kind of satisfaction I will be withdrawing this complaint. Do me a favor and stay out of it unless you are directly involved with this issue. Thanks, Chris.

So then...you have a dealer's license. As such, you know a little about this business, right? You know all about the sleaze, the slime, the fraud and deception which goes on at too many stores! You know all about the $800 bogus fees to do the registration, the spot delivery scam, the running away from warranty claims. All these things are going on right now as we speak at stores all over Florida under the complete recognition and approval of people who have a dealer's license. Yet, you sent off your money to buy some dumb used car from somebody you don't know and a car you've never seen or checked out. Not all people are graduates of the Bill Heard University and there really are some truly decent people in the business. Trust however, is earned. Until then, we must protect ourselves. That exactly is my point. Again, license or not, you sent off your money to somebody you don't know to buy some dumb used car you've never seen. They should have been honest just as the buyer needs to be smart. You failed in that department and they were just waiting for somebody like that!

Thanks but you are wrong

The car was listed on eBay and stated that the condition was as described. I have had a dealers license in the state of Florida and know the terms that you must comply to. I am in the process of filing a complaint against there license and will follow up with their bond company. The DMV compliance officer that supervises their license is there to protect consumers against fraud which is what they committed. Don't offer up your opinion publicly ewehn you have no idea of the regulations , statutes and laws the regulate a state of Florida motor vehicle dealers license.

They Were Just Waiting

Yes sir...they were just waiting because they knew when it comes to dumb, stupid cars there are enough people out there who will throw common sense out the window because they just have to have THAT car! You send 20k off to somebody you don't know to buy this thing based on pictures, words on a computer screen and a voice on the other end of the phone! $20,000! To make matters even more curious, it was only a few hours of driving for you to actually GO THERE and see the car! You didn't even bother to do that either! Absolutely amazing! Did they rip you off? Certainly they did and you were right there leading with your chin because you just had to have THAT car! Yes sir, they read you right down to the bottom of your feet!
