Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

After working for Friendly Computers on North Durango for 3 months, I noticed a whole slew of shady events. When I first started I received a phone call from the IRS looking for the owner Zach Yaniv. He told me he didn’t believe they were the real IRS, and told me not to give him the call. Another issue came up where he would not give me my payroll login for ADP, and when I called the company, they told me they do not see my name showing up on the list of employees, and he never had me fill out any tax forms. After a while, Zach would have us working all day, and at the end of the day, he would ask us what work we did, and decide he was only going to pay us for the time he thought we should spend on the physical work. He did not consider things like helping customers, answering phone calls, taking out the trash, or cleaning the store to be payable work. If that wasn’t bad enough, he decided he was going to penalize us more money off our checks, if we made a simple mistake like forgetting to enter a customer on the free diagnostic sheet, or forgetting to put their e-mail address on the ticket. I actually have text messages from this guy proving it. On top of all that, he would skim 50 dollars off our checks at random for no reason at all; this would explain why he didn’t want to give me my payroll login. Zach also stated if he paid us for the whole time we spent in the shop, he would lose his business. It finally got to the point where I knew I couldn’t even afford the gas to go to work for this guy, and I had no other option but to quit. This is how Zach treats his employees.

Now I will talk a little about how he treats his customers. Zach would spend most of his time hiding out in his office and let us handle the customers, which we were not getting paid for, and then he would yell at us if we spent too much time helping them. I have seen him con customers into paying for things before they even brought us their equipment, and then promise them it could be fixed in two hours. If you decided you were not happy with our service, or we could not fix your problem, Zach would not give any refunds, unless you called corporate, and they forced him to give the refund. I have had times where Zach would schedule a service call that was clearly a issue on the Internet Service Providers end, and still force us to charge the customer 99 dollars to tell them they have to call their ISP. I do not know how the other Friendly Computer franchises are ran, but I can tell you from experience, Zach is not someone you want to work for, or take your business to.
