Freeport Rental Did not explain use of Flasher button, which caused us not to have Brake lights or Signal lights Also quoted .79 a mile, billed .89 the business that doesnt give a dam Freeport Illinois
I called several weeks prior to my move, Agt at Freeport Rental stated if I were to pick up truck and return he would charge .79 per mile. I went back a week prior to needing U=haul and he then had .89 per mile. Since I needed I just left as his. When we picked up truck, he then ask if I wanted Insurance on which I did
take just to make sure.
The only information he explained to us was how to start the truck and that it used deisel fuel. He didnot tell us that if you hit the flasher button(which I have no idea where it was)with this we then had no Brake lights or
signal lights and had to travel to another town. I asked if the bill could be adjusted somewhat and the owner stated no, without any concern of what might have happened. I just feel there was no customer care here. He did not care that adding to the stress of moving, I also had to worry until we parked the truck back there about someone hitting us due to no brake/signal lights. Having only driven a Uhaul truck one other time, I feel he could have explain more items to us. Also when a customer requests a 17ft U haul this is what we should be getting, 17 ft box, not 17 ft including motor. Because of this I not only spent money for this truck, but then had to find 2 more trucks to finish moving.
I just dont feel this owner had the customer in mind, and then the fact that I was a Female, made it worst. The Truck also didnot driver well. At this point I will never again rent a U-haul truck
