All the posts and rebuttals are correct. Basically, your experience is as follows: 1. Join the Forum 2. Post a question for advice 3. Get told you're an idiot or some other unnecessary comment by a 'senior member' If you get angry about it and post a response back: 4. Get attacked by other senior members who frequent the board. Their ammunition is "well, were SENIOR MEMBERS so we can do and say as we please". And they do. And they get away with it. The moderator is just as mentally deranged as the 'senior members'. They actually find pleasure in ripping on people who seek advice. Your best bet to witness their behavior is to read the Debt Collection section. There you will see a poster by the name of "Bill Collector'" giving 'advice'. Their philosophy seems to be "when you seek our advice, you are our enemy'. They are not well in mind and that is ashame because it seems like a promising resource outside of paying lawyers.

I made the mistake of going to freeadvice.com with a perfectly valid question about my divorce. What I got was a string of nasty ill mannered bitter responses from the senior members. I get the feeling that these people are lonely and have been shunned from normal socety and they get their kicks from battering unsuspecting normal people. I had over 30 responses and not a single one was productive or even nice for that matter. They immediately started tearing me apart and twisting my words. These people seriously need mental help and perhaps serious medication. There was a lawyer who was the nastiest and I believe that they must be a poor lawyer since they were logged on virtually all day and into the wee hours of the morning as well. I dont know of any decent lawyer who has the extra time to loiter on a web site and harrass people 16 hours a day. To add to that everything they said was totally wrong since I went to my lawyer who filed my motion which I won. Nice job losers.

I have read many of forum's subcategories but I don't think it's a legal website. It seems like a bunch of people who pretend to be some kind of legal advisor. Most of it is a joke. Nothing more than Jerry Springer type of entertainment. But some of the people are pretty sincere. I read some of the forums that have some good information but the medical malpractice is a hoax. I wrote the administrator and owner about some of the members who really get nasty and was told that most of the members aren't who they say they are and the real benefit, Attorney Pages and some of the other features are what FreeAdvice is about anyway- not the forum. If you think that IAAL had it in for persons who asked questions, go back and read some other members who really turn it on each other. The medical malpractice is a group of arrogant wannabee's who try to out do each other with "their" diagnosis. Problem is they don't even bother to research a question and most of it is foolish nonsense. If you have nothing better to do, read the posts by Shay Pari'e. Cannot imagine what that person does for a living but does sound like a anyone with a legal background. I guess I wonder what would happen if a person follows the advice of a member and has consequences? The disclaimer is for the website but some of those member give out personal information with their email addresses.

freeadvice.com has deteriorated significantly during the years I have provided medmal, child welfare, and elder law advice based on my numerous years as a healthcare professional, volunteer guardian ad litem, and certified legal nurse consultant. A person seeking medmal advice would do well to seek advice elsewhere as forum trolls like Blanche or one of her many other usernames negate any solid, sound advice from those with appropriate professional and, or personal experience in the subject area. It is truly sad to see a beneficial site deteriorate to a forum for insulting and abusing those who seek help and those who provide it. And, before you ask...yes; on occasion, I have lost my temper and lowered myself to the level of the trolls. Despite the few times I have done so, my advice has been accurate and I have gone above and beyond the expected donation of time and effort to help perfect strangers as they struggle with what they perceive to be an injustice. It would make me a very happy person to be able to update this report with news that freeadvice.com has regained its sense of purpose and benefit to the "community".

From what I say in just a small handful of threads; -IAAL is a real looser and is now being hunted down sue to a lawsuit. -This website is taken over by idiots who do not know how to use a regular chat room. -I did not see any of the perverted activites as claimed, but would not use this site for any leagal advise. Remember, I only looked at a handful of threads. So sad too as this would be a great way to seek advise on if a person should seek a lawsuit of not.

>The regulars (baystategirl, ceara19,candiceH, eme76, stealth2,shay-parie) have taken control and engage in what could very well be classified as "online sex orgy's". These members take great pleasure in monopolizing the forum with their reports of drunkeness, use of sex toys, offers to exchange sex partners with each other and worst of all making comments wishing death upon unsuspecting "newbies". I would like the original poster to show just where I (stealth2) engaged in any of the above reported behaviors. His/her statement regarding my participation is libelous, and I expect it to be corrected forthwith.

Recently, I made the mistake of entering the website FreeAdvice.com with the hope that the "Masters of Ceremony" had been banned and confined to a facility where help is given to individuals such as those mentioned in the original post. Without doubt, changes have taken place. It has grown worse with the increased the control being given to the obviously mentally challenged "members". Somehow this site has recruited more "members" who take great pleasure in engaging in what would be found on adult websites. The viciousness is frightening. These are mostly women members who emit the stench of hate. The evil comments and the sexually explicit content is beyond belief. The recent topic of choice seems to be found, as usual, on the Child Support board. The "terms and conditions", are laughable. Do not be fooled into believing that you will be getting free legal advice from an attorney. That is simply not true. There are only a handful of actual attorney members. They rarely will be found engaging in the hate filled sexually charged threads. This is a "chat room", not a forum offering free legal advice. Sorry for Gerry Goldsholle. He has put his trust in his administration staff and that is a mistake on his part. Again, administration is fully aware of these issues, yet it continues to grow rapidly. This website is touted as being number one in the free legal advice arena. Far from true. If anyone reading this feels the need to be verbally assaulted by mentally disturbed experts, FreeAdvice.com is the place to go. Gerry Goldsholle needs to clean this up and adhere to the "terms and conditions".
