Worthless to say that we were target of some kind of spell or I wouldn't be here, writing.

On August 30, 2008 we went to Ford Town of Albany to purchase a Ford Edge 2008, as the cash offers and interest rates were attractive.

After almost 6 hours, we closed the transaction and signed a contract.

Price of NEW vehicle $26,940, trade in $7,800, down payment $2,000.00, 0% APR in a term of 66 months with a $462.49 payment.

The cash back offer available before September 2, 2008, of $2,750.00 wasn't applied as my husband was approved with 0% APR.

We agreed to a 66-month term and not 60, because 1) they offered to extend the term and 2) because the APR was 0% and with 0% finance, the more extended the term, the lower your payments, at least, that's what I thought.

We thought also that we HAD bought the car, as we signed a contract!!! A contract, for God's Sake!

We were not very satisfied with the trade in value (www.edmunds.com TMV $11,940.00), but what the heck; you can't have everything in life.

Then, at home, reviewing our contract, we noticed that the mileage reported was wrong: It said 10 miles, while the real mileage on the vehicle was 216. We thought it had no relevance and didn't return to ask a change.

They didn't give us but a copy of the contract and my voucher; any other copies of the stack of documents signed, were kept by Ford Town of Albany.

We never thought this was going to be just the start of the most disgusting adventure in Complaintland.

On Tuesday, September 2, 2008 my husband left on business travel in our other car and that same day our machine recorded a message from Ford Town of Albany that they could drop our payment and they needed my husband to go to their office.

You may think this is good news

On September 5, 2008, after almost 8 hours of driving, my husband and I paid a visit to Ford Town of Albany.

Payment down? No, no, no... Bad guess: DOWN PAYMENT UP!!!

They told us that Ford Credit didn't approve my husband for a 0% APR and that we needed to pay another $1000.00 down, as if $1000.00 were peanuts.

-What? We don't have the money- we said

Here is where the thrill starts.

You don't believe in magic? Well, it happens, when you have enough profit peanuts!

After 3 hours of enchanting the computer:

The price of the vehicle went down

My trade-in went up to $9,000.00

My down payment stayed as it was, no more peanuts

My monthly payment dropped 8 dollars: two pack of cigarettes

and my carriage turned into a pumpkin, at 6:30 pm. instead of 12:00, from NEW to DEMO.

But the spell was over:

The term was not adjusted to 60 months

The rate went up to 1.9% APR (only applied to 72 months, as far as I understand)

The cash back offer and bonus, never appeared.

I wish we had brought Harry Potter with us and ask him to produce my trade-in and my down payment and dissappear, leaving the Edge there

I felt we were mislead to buy something it wasn't worth, what they told us, was.

As normal humans, that don't understand anything about magic or casting spells, we tried to ask for our trade-in and down payment back, but Voldemort appeared enraged and threatened to convert our $2000.00 in air, by charging us what was covered in the bailment my husband had signed, plus a large list of other items, if we didn't keep the car

We know now, we should have walked out of the deal, whatever the cost was, as what we are going to pay for the car is significantly overcharged and I think this is not fair.

The story doesn't end here.

the cast, so that I don't have to reveal names

Lucius Malfoy, who I believe his true reason for being evil is simply for power, mocked us with a letter through the BBB (we filed a complaint to the BBB on September 7, 2008) by saying that we didn't have anything to complaint about as our monthly payment went down!!!

This is not right! It is dubious, puzzling, tricky, unfair, deceitful, etc. etc.

As I said before, this is just the beginning of the adventure in Complaintland.

We contacted the Customer Relationship Center of Ford Co. and until now we don't know if they are going to get involved or support us. They have asked 2 times through email for information that I have provided on the phone and also through email.

The BBB has forwarded our messages to Ford Town of Albany 4 days ago and we haven't got an answer yet to our offer.

Add to all these that a recall was made on the Ford Edge 2008 on July this year, related to the gas tank.

Consequently, could we have bought a lemon instead of a pumpkin?

To much to handle

And like if nothing is happening, we received in the mail today, the statement for the first payment, as well as the documentation to register the vehicle as a DEMO. I call that: efficiency!

Wish us luck, because I am not stopping until I get to the bottom of this, based on Jesus' Golden Rule: Don't do to others, what you wouldn't like to be done to you, and don't allow others to do to you, what you wouldn't do to them.

And remember: What goes around, comes around: this is not folklore; it is a Rule of the Universe, the same as Gravitation.
