How do people still fall for his used car salesman tricks. He claims his dealer is #1 in the world. He acts like he just happened uppon all of these "beauties" he finds junk then paints and cardboards it out.

When you say CYA after the fact, I don't think your being fair. There was a sign in the window that this car was going through restoration, not every car gets torn apart for a full frame off restoration, especially for $28K. We have some idea of what it will cost us to get the car ready and for it to be very nice. In fact, we sell many cars that come in before the final work is done and the clients pick them up when they're ready. Flemings didnt have to refund his inspection fee, but we did, so Im hoping you give us kudo's for doing the right thing.
Thanks, Tony Fleming

I have to call "shenanigans" on the owner of the company response. How could the poster and your salesman arrive at a price for a vehicle that had yet to be restored? If this car were really in the process of being restored it would have been torn down into hundreds of separate pieces and unavailable for a $200 inspection. You did the right thing by refunding this man his inspection fee and I commend you on that action. You and I both know that the amount of (described) damage to this vehicle is going to be cost prohibitive to a proper restoration. You were trying to unload your problem onto someone else.

Not every car at Flemings is ready for delivery, so we put a sign in the window that says "This car is currently under restoration, it can be purchased and picked up when its ready". We have refunded the 199.00 the client paid for the inspection fee. We're sorry he was unhappy with the progress being made, but the car wasnt even out of the restoration process yet.
