Janesville,#2Consumer Suggestion

First, it sounds like they are hounding you. This means that they feel you owe them a certain amount, but you haven't paid it. If in fact you do owe this amount, but cannot pay it at the current time, work out some arrangements with them if possible. If you cannot come to an agreement with them on payments and the amount owed, then you have the right to give them a "cease and desist" notice. This says that they can no longer contact you, except to notify you that they are suing you or won't be contacting you again. You also have the right not to be contacted at work if this is not convenient. Should they violate these rights, you can sue them. However, this is a bit extreme given what you've described, and I suggest seeing what you can work out with them, and then getting rid of the card and going on with your lives. If by some chance you don't owe what they say, you also have the right to file a dispute. I hope this helps you.
