Local Flagstar MLO officer suckers people in by fraud and misrepresentation. Hands me blank documents, says sign and we will fill the rest in later. In collusion with local HUD coordinator who is subsequently fired for operating her own realty company from the HUD office. Police investigate embezzlement and no one can find my documents. Appraiser has his own problems with Flagstar, so do the contractors, other borrowers, many more borrowers. Predatory practices range from flipping, to force-placed insurance and a shockingly similar story to this Michelle's of Montrose.

Sound like a soap opera. No way. It's all true and there is so much more. I challenge anyone out there to look into my case and find fault on my part. I am sure that my one huge mistake was to chase that dream of having your own beautiful dream house. Mine was simple. I mortgaged for $227,900 which I could and can afford comfortably and am blessed. I think the biggest reason these sharks gobbled a fish like me is because of my gender, my race and naivete about the whole home buying process. My case is far to complex to deliver in this venue but perhaps if any sane legal folks wish to inquire they may do so discreetly.

This is what I have done to make lemonade out of the lemons. In 3 yrs. I have successfully completed one law course, am now a student at a major university majoring in Finance and Law, have joined a social justice network and consumer advocate group, have studied the RESPA, the FAIR HOUSING ACT, The Truth in Lending Act, ECOA, you name it. There are people out there who will call you crazy for taking on the lenders and governmentals that help them. (Not all. There are still some ethical lawyers and politicians out there. They sure are hard to find though.) Do not be swayed or angered by the people who are saying it is your fault.

It isn't. I can parade approx. 20 people and perhaps more who have been damaged by Flagstar Bank. I have been fighting them for almost three years now and you wouldn't believe the amazing amount of complaints out there. Take heart though. There is something you can do. This is for you Michelle. Yours is not an isolated incident. First, I would suggest dropping all the emotion. Do not let Joe from Wisconsin rile you up, he's an idiot and still lives in wonderland. He hasn't experienced the smack of corporate corruption.

When injustice happens to him, he'll do one of two things. Shut his eyes or open them. Now, you move forward. If I sound peaceful it is because they have already destroyed me financially and have even colluded with others who have placed the lives of our family in serious jeopardy. We have been irreparably damaged. I fight on many fronts now. I am just one person who would like to know how many more are out there and would like to unite.

I research constantly and have been since I first wanted a new home. What starts as a dream ends up to be a nightmare of soap opera proportions. I need exposure and help though. There are so many blatant violations I can hardly believe I'm here. I filed FOIA, Privacy Act, "qualified written request", "right of recission", 2 really bad lawyers later they are and have been forcing me to settle my claims.

I was in the wrong court, with a lawyer who illegaly deposed a key defendant and he needs to be sued for malpractice. The list reads like a who's who of violations and injustices. Patent theft. Blatant. Flagrant. I'm not even emotional anymore, I have already been on that ride. Now it is time to learn everything they know. I get the chance to start all over again. All my good credit ruined, all my savings and hard earned's gone. At the young age of ? I have to try to rebuild everything it took me so long to build.

Take heart those of you who have been harmed by these sharks. Their day will come. I would like to unite, we must. Blessings to you.

AGAIN, ANOTHER PERSON WHO THINKS THEY KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE BANKING INDUSTRY. HERE'S A FACT FLAGSTAR STEERED CLEAR OF SUBPRIME LENDING - THAT'S PROBABLY WHY THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. THEY ARE -WERE- AND HAVE BEEN AN FHA , VA AND CONFORMING LENDER - NEVER SUB-PRIME. SO EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO MAKE STATEMENTS IN WRITING FOR THE PUBLIC TO SEE.

IF YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A HOME INSPECTION FOR $300 YOUR PROBLEMS WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED. POEPLE THINK HUD SENDS OUT AN INSPECTOR - BUT THEY DONT - THEY SEND AN APPRAISER (SOMEONE WHO CONFIRMS VALUE NOT CONDITION) YOU F-ED UP NO ONE ELSE DID. OF COURSE A COMPANY WILL COME AFTER YOU, WHEN YOU SIGN A CONTRACT. CHECK THE DEPTH BEFORE YOU JUMP. WHO'S FAULT IS IT WHEN YOU GET HURT DIVING IN SHALLOW WATER? YOURS! SERIOUSLY SICK OF THESE IGNORANT CRYBABIES. EDUCATE YOURSELF.

Forgive me, it is hard to be specific in this forum, but I'll try.

Details, Details, Details,...I was living on a federal Indian Reservation in my first ever home. It was a HUD project house. Home was part of a HUD mutual homeownership program. I set the manufactured house and lived there happily for 8 years. I paid my house payment, working and being happy. I almost had the house paid off. I kept it well and the value had gone up considerably in 8 years. Then a new "initiative" came to our reservation and an agreement was made between the Tribe, Flagstar, Fannie Mae/PMI to bring the "dream of homeownership" to us. In order to get that dream, I wanted to sell my tribal home and buy a new one. I had a considerable amount of equity in my house and would use that for the downpayment on a new one. In order to sell my tribal home I had to go through the HUD office located there. The land is in trust and there are some issues there. This is where I met the HUD coordinator. I was told they could sell my house and get me a new one in one swift movement. I think you can see where this is headed and because I am still involved with my complaints to the government and possible litigation, (if I ever find a lawyer with real integrity and determination to take on this monster, right now I am acting in pro se) I will be limited in how much I can reveal here. The HUD person was operating a realty business while working for the tribe. No DBA on company time. Along the way I had a gut feeling which led me to ask lots of questions. I soon discovered so many lies and violations that when I brought my concerns to the chief, the chief launched an investigation. You know, it's like I said it's blatant. Flagrant. And it's happening still. According to the "agreement" the HUD office sent you to the lender who was part of the "agreement" and this is where I meet Flagstar. I went through the closing of my first new home. I was never told I needed to take a class on homebuying with this thing called the Native American Conventional Lending Initiative". Others say they were. I even have a letter from one of Flagstar representatives saying "In every program there are a few glitches..." I am one of the glitches. Perhaps, I need a web page to tell my story. I haven't even gotten to the mold house yet. And the effluent with 55 gallons of water which poured into the new homes basement because the septic and drainfield was completely destroyed by an irrigation system which was installed by the previous owner and then theres the inspector whom the HUD agent got to do the inspection. Said he couldn't do the inspection on the drainfield when we asked because it was February and the ground was frozen solid. It wasn't until the first thaw that we noticed a problem. Within one month of living in the home. Nosebleeds, within 3 months, the flood and major damage. And back to the HUD realtor they never disclose commission fee. (Remember...company time)makes lots of money, referral to Flagstar MLO., no disclosures, no disclosures. Oh I asked questions, lots of them. The HUD agent was fired, police came to ask me questions. I had no agent for the other half of my transaction which was to sell the tribal home. Just Flagstar's rep. The answers are what they are still fighting me on! I want some d**n answers. I want all my money back. The rent monies that I paid for someone else to live in my house for 22 days, the damages from the flood, the commission, the money still in a account of which they over escrowed me, the fines, fees and penalties for overappraisal of a house whose foundation was entirely encompassed with black mold. The sewage had nowhere to go so it sat against the house. You name it. We have been majorly ripped off. Waaaaay to much more in this edition. Blessings to you. All Rights Reserved.

How were you ripped off?

I am a little unclear on how they ripped you off, you speak in generalities but nothing specific. Even though you say you can "comfortably afford" your payment, I am assuming that you have a 3 year fixed loan because Flagstar mostly deals in sub prime loans. Why do you feel they discriminated against you because of your race and gender? I will assume you had a real estate agent working with you, why did they allow you to be discriminated against? Give us more details please so we can form our opinions.
