You are correct in stating its illegal for a merchant to charge a fee for credit card usage, however, if a third party vendor is collecting their payments and that third party is not in Texas, that might be a different matter. I know you are trying to nit pick to find some way to discredit them but guess what, your attempts are very easy to see thru. If you are waiting until the last minute to make your payments and its past the posting time, then yes, the payment will be posted the next day. Solution? It's all up to YOU...don't wait until the last second. Finally, your whining about them "helping" you is quite obviously just another ploy to find fault with them. They are a BUSINESS and not your mother, father, clergyman or charity. You entered into a legally binding business deal with them in which YOU promised to make on time payments every month. If you don't want calls from their bill collectors, why not do what YOU agreed to do when YOU signed the contract. Oh yes, don't bother writing back to claim "you must work for them". I don't!
