I purchased a Chevrolet Malibu 2009 and Flagship Credit Acceptance eventually became the party that I sent payments to. I used to have my next payments due dates months ahead until I started having financial difficulties. I have had my vehicle impounded due to sveral parking violations under the color of law. While I requested court hearings on several of the so called violations under the color of law the fines and fees continued to grow. I owe Flagship Credit Acceptance one last payment of $ 188.00 and they got my vehicle from the impound lot at a cost of $1761.00 and now say that I must pay $2450.00 at $325.00 a month to get my car back. This company did not contact me to say that they got my car from the impound lot. The impound lot did not contact me to say my car had been taken by the finance company. I just had a hearing with the MVA on 15 Feb. 2017 and I was told that I was suppose to pay all parking citations and then attempt to get my money back in court. I was also told by this judge that I had 10 business days to accomplish this. I did not know this is what this system of laws reqiured and I did not know that Flagship had already taken my car from the impound lot on 10 Feb. 2017.  I found out the information provided by contacting the impound lot and Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC. It should be obvious to anyone reading this to see the fraud, greed and trickery involved in this entire scheme of things.

We can’t ignore the fact that there are patsies like you out there. Patsies are people who think just because they never had setbacks that required them interface with a company to ask for help. People go through legitimate hardships. I begged Flagship for two years to consider the fact I suddenly became disabled. I asked several times for them to refinance or place outstanding payments on back of my loan to no avail. Please do no business with this company, They’re not easy to work with have little compassion for my circumstances up to this point.please do not do business with this company. They operate on a hardcore bases. Also, I had no problems with Carfinance.com, whom my orriginal financing was by that company. They merged with Flagship. That’s when the problems started.

I wrote a letter to Flagship Credit Acceptance,LLC and I have been able to work with them and get my means of Transportation back into my possession. I paid them my last car payment of $191.00 that was do. My means of transportation is back in my possession now. Now I am waiting for Flagship to send me paperwork that will allow me to go to the MVA and get the vehicle title back in my name and also get new tags last. As soon as they make that happen I have no problem with Flagship Credit Acceptance.

The only problem appears to be you

You seem to ignore the fact that I stated I had one last payment of $188.00 and the car would be paid for.

- And you seem to ignore the fact that until you have satisfied the loan, the car is not legally yours. It doesn't matter if you owe $188, $1880, or $1.88. As such they have the legal right to take possession of THEIR vehicle to protect their interests. They also have the legal right to charge you any fees involved in obtaining possession or storage of their car.

Now, before you go down that road this is something YOU gave them the right to do when you signed the legal agreement to purchase the car. If you had a problem with these terms, then you should never have signed the documents and never purchased the car. I know you are thinking this also...so you also gave them the right to sell/transfer your loan to another company without your consent.

The notification complaint on your part is just another excuse. Since they apparently did not sell it, in the end it doesn't matter if you were notified or not. You would still owe storage charges just to a different agency. And it should not take the "threat" of repossession to get you to pay your bills.

Now, I am not going to really go into the complaint you have with the city. Other than I really wonder what were the laws they just made up that you don't agree with.

NO, I do not not or have I ever worked for them or any car financing company or city agency.

You're Part of the Problem

I say you are part of the problem because as I stated in the complaint, the impound lot nor the Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC notified me of their actions. I also stated that I went to a hearing at MVA and was told that I had to statisfy all citations cost before I had hearings.  So it is ok for a person to get a parking citation have to pay the citation cost before having their day in court. I guess it is also ok for a city to make up any kind of rule in an effort to increase revenue. It must also be ok to have to pay for citations that one wishes to contest in court. Last but not least after I paid all the citations and had the hearing with the MVA my car was brought from the impound lot at a cost of $1761.00 and they said I might be able to start ll over paying them $2450.00 .

Anyone who does not see the trickery, fraud, and unfairness of this situation must work somewhere in an business that thrives on auctioning reposessed vehicles, an impound lot that thrives on fees imposed on people who have their vehicles towed by towing companies that thrive on towing vehicles working under the color of laws made up to vacillitate the exact situation I described and maybe you make a living buying and selling cars from auctions. You seem to ignore the fact that I stated I had one last payment of $188.00 and the car would be paid for. Now Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC has my vehicle and you don't see that all they intend to do is auction off a 2009 vehicle and make more money off of a vehicle that has already been paid for minus one last payment. Again you are part of the problem if you think this is ok.

“There has to be a law”

Yes, there are laws and you violated them. You parked unlawfully and then refused to pay the penalty fees. You then abandoned your vehicle located at the impound lot and failed to pay your car note.

No fraud, just foolish choices.
