Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I moved from my original house: where i received my bill for first premier credit card. i could not find a way to contact them. i finally found a bill and contacted them. my card had expired and i wanted a new one. they said it was to late so they closed my account

that was october 2014 i have paid my bill every month and i checked my balance last month and it has only gone down a total of $185! so i have paid on a 700 credit card for almost 3 full years and it only went down 185!!!! that in itself is a rip off!  i contacted them once before to ask questions they stated they received a payment 1 day late which is a $50 charge. i said ok fine but still how on earth can a person pay 3 years on a 700 card and it NOT be paid off yet!

serious rip odd

Apparently Robert can only read and comprehend what he feels like that day! The OP clearly stated that he pays at very least $20 over the minimum payment every month on a CLOSED account! You sir either just enjoy being completely jerk to random people whom you don't know (keyboard warrior), or you are completely daft and don't comprehend anything written!! I guess there's 3 possibilities the third being you could work for First Premier Bank!! Regardless of which one if you can't read what's clearly written and comprehend it then keep your comments to yourself! When I first turned 18 I had zero knowledge of credit/ credit cards! Beings my parents didn't feel it necessary to teach my brothers or myself the importance of it! So I would have easily accepted this if it was my first offer ever thinking that the absurd amount of fees and such were just normal!! Not everyone has the same upbringing nor are they raised with the same knowledge of credit. Lord knows that schools teach nothing on the subject! So maybe instead of being a complete D@#$ to someone you don't know, stop and ask is this my battle or my monkeys! Ya didn't think so unless it is. Which in that case how do you sleep at night working for a company who pathetically prays on the young, naive, and down on their luck population! This bank has horrid policies and fees and should be shut down for being nothing more than scam artist!

And on top of that i do pay more than the minimal payment.. always do. And the statements says it takes about 2 years to pay off at paying minimum payment.. so what now! Its only 20 extra per month. But i am trying to pay it off and have been! Thats why i was telling others. After all late charges or anything else(which has been over a year ago in the furst place) it still isnt going down much! So since you know everthing what do you suggest!? I pay monthly ,on time, and over minimum due!?!!! Well im paying it off after christmas so it doesnt matter but people should know! This card is crap!

Did you want some cheese with this?

This is a Sub-Prime card for people who have not proven they can handle credit, and could not get a card from from a more mainstream bank if their life depended on it. So don't come here and say you had great credit and could have gotten any card you wanted. Because that either makes you a liar or someone who just enjoys paying higher interest rates and fees because you feel like it.

But you take it to another level. You moved but couldn't figure a way to contact them? Have you ever heard of this new marvel of science called the Internet? In addition to allowing you to write frivolous reports, it is a great search tool. Oh and if you notice a bit of scarasm you are not imagining things as it took me about 10 seconds to find their web site and several ways to contact them.  Not to mention that the back of their card has a contact number as well.

Then we get to your payments and how you are complaining that the balance due is not going down like you THINK it should. Well let me guess you are only making the minimum payment due. If that is the case it can take 5+ years to pay it off if you don't add any additional charges. If you continue to add charges you may never pay it off. As the minimum payment is lowering your balance by $5-$10/month and that one late payment fee was enough to erase about 6 months of payments.

But this is something that should not be a shock for you after 3 years. As EVERY month you get a statement either by mail or electronic format. This is sent out 21 days before your due date and is FEDERAL law. So EVERY month you should have seen how much your balance was being reduced. One other item that has been law since 2010 is that your statement has a section as to how long it will take you to pay off the card just paying the minimum, and then what it would take to pay it off in about 3 years. Very often this difference is only a few extra dollars a month.

So if you want to pay off your card faster...make a bigger payment and DON'T be late.
