I think its funny how you want to warn others about First Premier's Bank shenanigans. What rock have you been under? Anybody who knows anything about credit cards know already knows about First Premier and their ways. If you research credit rebuilding cards on any website dedicated to credit cards, the most likely cards that are going to be on that website are cards from Orchard Bank, First Premier, and Capital One. Also every website I have seen they always list any fees, interest rates, what credit is needed and any benefits/rewards. I find it hard to believe you didn't know First Premier and their high fees.

You act surprised over the low credit limit and fees. Why is that? Here's why...you didn't read any of the terms and conditions BEFORE you took the card. There is NO ripoff here because YOU agreed to all the fees and charges along with the APR. The time to object to any of the terms is right after you READ them but BEFORE you apply.

Is that they gave you credit when NO ONE else would, and now that you are in better(??) shape you want to deny people the same chance...wow aren't you nice.
I gave you a couple of ?? to "better" because after 3 years of on-time payments with what appears 4 cards in total there is no reason you should still need "Credit Building" cards. So I wonder if you are telling the entire story as to your actual situation.
Now, if you are telling the entire story and you have a good history except for this one late pay. By closing your account you have screwed yourself more than that single late will actually hurting you after a couple of months. Because once the account is closed you now loose the "age" of that account, but still get to keep the negative.
With all that said, the ONLY thing you may have a valid complaint on is being reported to your credit report for being 5 days late. The first negative mark is 30 days. So if you are telling the entire story where you have proof of your payment only being 5 days late then file a dispute with the Credit Reporting Agencies and it should be fixed. Of course if you closed your account, the fix will most likely be to remove that entire line of credit, which will hurt your history even more.
