You were correct to hang up and not provide the info BUT The lender is entitled to this Information!
You were correct because you never give this information to a person that calls you, this is how many identity theft scams operate.
YOU NEED TO: Contact your lender and speak to them about your payment issues and insure they have all the information they are entiteld to.
They Can: "Foreclose" any loan if you are late, do not provide required employment information or some days it seems like farting in the loan officers office will be enough.

They loaned you money and have a RIGHT to know the prospects of getting repaid.
Your next contact may involve words like: "We're calling your loan" or "Hi, we are from ACE collection agency.
Way to go, you really drove home the point with them.
