" Good for us, my husband doesn't have any other creditors calling him so I knew exactly who it was. "
So, you're aware of who your husband has stiffed and are hoping to concoct some way to get out of paying this creditor. Sadly, this isn't going to work. It appears that what you know about the FDCPA and collection in general could fit into thimble. None of the assertions you claim to be violations of the FDCPA are actually violations of anything.
Deadbeats often try and turn the tables on their creditors, and in some cases they can be successful. Unfortunately for you, it does require some minimal knowledge of the laws and procedures that apply, which you do not appear to posses. Better luck next time.

So, you pride yourself as being a bill collector for 10 years, AND YOU KNOW THE LAW.
If this is a true statement, there is no such thing as INCONVIENT HOURS. The hours that a bill collector are permitted to call is from 8am till 9pm, MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. If I was collecting your account, I would not give a rats a*s about your 5 month baby on a "Random Schedule". I would call two or 3 times a day "leaving messages" till your husband decided to call me back. I would even call him on his job, and leave messages with the switch board If he did not have access to a phone.
Further I would leave the message as something like this "Hello , I need to speak to Joe Deadbeat, I am with ABC Bank, and it is VERY IMPORTAINT that he call me right away. Can you see to it that he receives this very importaint message? Thank You. I would continue to call every day at his job till he either calls me back, or sends me a certified letter to stop calling his job. Even if his job requested I not call him any more, I would request they notify me in writing. TOTALLY LEGAL, NO VIOLATIONS OF THE FDCPA.
It is legal for them to call from a blocked number, because otherwise deadbeats would not answer the phone.
When I used to collect if a person was stupid enough not to answer the phone, but let it go to voice mail, I would put the call on auto dialer, and instruct it to call over, and over, and over again 60 times a day, without leaving a message. This way I am not violating the law because I did not leave a message, but I am harrassing the hell out of you by making you hear the phone ring from me 70 times a day.
You would get so sick of the phone you would either go to the expense of changing your number, or just unplugging your phone. Either way I WIN, YOU LOSE!!!!
If they leave a message, and the debtor does not call them back, they are permitted to call each and every day, until they speak to the Debtor. You are not on the account, so they can not give you account specifics, only the name of the Company, and that they need your husband to call them back.
I love the fact that because this girl "Debbie" had the NERVE to hang up on you, that you feel that Debbie should apologize to you????? GIVE ME A BREAK. I think that after you give your husband the message, and he wont call them back, I feel he MUST Call Debbie, and apologize to Debbie.
There is a cause and effect relationship here, If your husband pays his bills, he wont get multiple phone calls. So you should tell your husband to pay his bills.
That is why I know you are LYING through your teeth about being a former bill collector. Perhaps you were a file clerk, but you never collected a past due bill. You are trying to deflect from the fact you have a bill that you wont pay, into wrong doing on the part of the Bank.
Finally in closing the FDCPA only relates to a 3rd party agency collecting. If this is the bank who issued the credit card, or loan, they are not subject to the FDCPa. This is also another Dead GiveAway that you are nothing but a LIAR!!!!!!
So just tell your husband to pay his bills, and people like me wont be chasing you down. HA HA H A H A H A HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
