Okay the first days of a new year got me to think about new equipment to better service my customers-
alas, I went online to apply for a credit card to make the purchase of a new compressor...
simple right!?! I'm thinking "no problem, I pay my bills on time and in full" I have a great credit score!
Sunday moring came so, I thought that I would check in with the credit card company, one that I had used in the past had DENIED my request for a card! What the Bleep...I thought to myself...so, I quickly ran a credit check up.
To my surprize and dismay I found that I had a ding on my credit report and that is why I was denied my new
card. I can understand this because it says that I have a debt of $2,990.00 in lease payments of the equipment to
First Data for Merchant Services.
This had been a resolved dispute, in which I had been promised services that I did not receive and services,
that I was not happy about..I hired an attorney...when all was said and done, the machine was returned to First Data
and they issured my business a refund of $300.00 for the credit card processing equipment lease fees.
My fault was not checking my credit report...hadn't given it a thought!
Now, I am in a possition with the credit reporting agency that I need to rectify; however this does not help
me in the immediate future with the purchase of the equipment that I need to run my business!
I am just stunned!
I am spreading the word so that other people will be aware of these facts.
So, now I have a project...wish me luck!
I will report any changes or updates.
