First Data Corp appointment setter ripped off Irving Texas
Back in June of this year (2007) I responded to an add from Craigs list for a work at home position. The name of the company doing the hiring was First Data Merchant Services of Irving. The work at home position was for contacting businesses, and setting an appointment for a first data representative to try and get them to sign up with First Data Corp and credit card processing. We were to be paid $5 for every appointment that we set plus $100 for every sale. I was told by the liar that hired me to expect a 50% of my appointments to result in sales. I guess that I was pretty naive for being suckered in by this company, but I was not alone.I was told that they liked the leads that I was sending them and that many deals were in the process of going thru the paper work stage. My first paycheck for the first 20 appointments was just for $95. With no commissions, when I asked about my commissions they gave me the run around telling me that I would be paid soon. Like a fool I believed them, my next check was to include my commissions, but after expecting a $1000 paycheck I received a check for only $25. I was insulted by this and I told the liar that hired me that I wanted my money immediately, no more run arounds or I would contact the other telemarketers about this ripoff (I don't think he knew that I had info on who some of his work at home telemarketers were and their email addresses). He told me that he owes me nothing and for me to go ahead and do what I want.
I immediately started emailing other telemarketers and found that they were not being paid either.First Datas phone has been off the hook with a busy signal for over a month. I have found that every individual that I have spoken to at First data to be totally devoid of anything that you could call ethics and completely morally banckrupt! They have hurt the people who were making money for them ( I know of one person who became homeless over this) So, think about it, if they did things like this to us,and are willing to throw us to the wolves; just think of what these parasites might do to their unwary customers.
