Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
They should be sued for their behavior! RIPOFF! Without new charges I pay what they ask...then the next bill has an overlimit charge. Why? Because they don't figure in what your finance charges will be. So, I guess the consumer has to figure all that out, above the requested minimum payment asked by the company. First time I've ever had this nonsense from any card company.

For several weeks I can not get in touch with anyone, therefore I'm charged late fees and more over limit fees.

I wish I new if there are any class action suits against their business practices. They close down their charge card business, and leave you in the dark! This should be unlawful!!

FCNB discontinues phone contacts - sends to collections ..They're thieves, and belong in jail!

#2Consumer Comment

Mon, May 05, 2003

I too, have bben trying to pay off my First Consumers account after that BS situation on March 7, 2003, when they yanked my only credit card from me for their federalally charged inpropriaties. They contacted me last week to ask if I send additional payment, which I responded that I intended to pay off in full this week, May 5. An attempt to call today, after several dis-connects, was a new phone number. FCNB sent my account to collections and added $65 in fees!!!. I was late by 1 week (waiting for a large check to clear) and they sent me to collections!!! The collection agency was able to see a notation on my account that I was contacted by FCNB, and I had promised to sent my payment in this week. I hope the bankruptcy courts who are hearing the cases of Speigal and Newport News (parent companies) throw the book at them and give all assets back to their creditors, and legal action should be taken against the decision makers of that company who reipped consumers off on a regular basis. They're thieves, and belong in jail!
