I would love to jump in about my experiences with this company. I recieved an FCNB Spiegel card way back in 1997 and had it for quite a few years, charged it up, payed it off and over 6 years had only one late payment. In May of 2003 I stopped recieving bills from them. I called the 1-800 number, checked the website all to no avail.

In July I recieved a bill from this Card Processing Center saying that I owed them an enormous amount and that my bill was 60 days late. I called them and asked them where they got this account information and was told that they bought off FCNB accounts. I asked for written proof and was told that they would send a letter to me explaining what happened.

Another month went by and I recieved another bill with no letter. This one was 180 dollars in late fees. I called the company again and finally they faxed over the letter. I then called and spoke to a manager and asked for the late fees to be removed. The manager said that there was no reason to remove the late fees because I recieved a bill. I spoke to three different managers that day and finally paid the late fees.

Here is my problem with this company; I know have a 90 day late on my credit report which I have tried to get removed but have not been able to. The original company was wrong for selling their accounts to this collection company and the collection company should not have the right to collect on accounts from a bankrupt company!
