Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was contacted by First Capital Consumers on July 2, 2002 and they stated that I had qualified for the mastercard with the limit of 2500 and then when I got it there would be papers to sign to send back to get the Visa with a limit of 2000. Sounded good and just like most I was trying to rebuild my credit. I found your site yesterday and felt like someone had just kicked me in the face. I gave all of my info to these people over the phone and thought, "What am I Going to Do???" This is what I did, last night, I called back both 416 #'s that was on my caller I.D (416-289-0447 & 416-488-4814). The first there was no answer...the second I got a man who barely spoke english and told me he would take my # and someone would call me back to cancel...do you think they called??? The money isn't suppossed to be taken out until the 15th and got on the phone with my bank and told them the situation and that I thought the only thing to do was close the account and open another one. They told me that was not necessary. They went ahead and put a stop payment on transactions on July 15 for 199.00 and also any that may come through from all of First Capital aliases. They also had me fax a letter stating that I wanted a permanant stop payment starting today and in the future on all debit amounts of 199.00 from First Capital and any of their alias and banks. They will put this on file in the computer to make sure First Capital doesn't get any money if they try to keep posting the amount on my account at a future date. I could not thank my bank enough. We are a military family and they really came through. Hope this helps with anyone in this current situation. Good Luck!! Tee Columbus, Georgia
