Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Here is a quick summary of our 2 claims - refrigerator and plumbing leak/bad pressure regulator valve (PRV).

45 days without a working refrigerator (could not be used at all - not cooling).  It turns out they will only fix the front of the refrigerator even though we paid extra for coverage for a built in refrigerator. FAHW stated they will cover issues in the back of the refrigerator but we must paid someone to pull it out and then they will determine if it can be fixed.  52 days now with only partial repair done.

Plumbing leak repaired by us because their technician did not show (I waited 5 hours for them - no call) and they could not find anyone else to fix it within the next few days.  The suggestion I received was to shut off the water to the house and turn it on only when we needed to use it.

To repalce the PRV (more than 2 weeks after it was reported), their contractor stated they needed excavation equipt. to access it and it would cost $200.  I sent FAHW photos showing the PRV is above ground and just needed the loose gravel below it moved aside. They changed the story to 'the plumber requires $200 to pick up a shovel.' At that point we just needed it done so we paid the fee. The plumber decided to use a shovel to pry the box out instead of just using a small trowel and he broke the PRV housing box (he did not mention it while there - we found it later).  He then claimed to set the pressure to 65 on the receipt. When we checked the pressure it was at 45-50. We called them back and the plumber stated the PRVs come set from the factory and he cannot change the pressure setting by himself (he did not actually set it or even check it as stated on the receipt) and he said the box was already cracked but broke all the way when he pulled out it.  He said he would bring by a new box.  We fixed the pressure ourselves but have yet to get the box replaced or a copy of the permit that was supposed to have been pulled for the work to begin with.
