I got an email from fatcow.com saying that my domains were scheduled to auto renew. I called their customer service number and told them that I did not want the domain names renewed. I actually told them that I wanted to cancel and remove all domain names and products under my account and to completely close my account all together. This was on 2-20-15. 

Then I couldn't use my card this morning! I called my bank to ask them what was going on and they said that there was suspicous activity on my account. I asked them about more detail and they said it was about 50 charges for $16.99 from fatcow EIG!! That's about $850!! I called fatcow immediately to tell them that I did NOT want any domains renewed, but I sat on hold for over 1.5 hours! Nobody returned to the line.

So I chatted with them and they said they can't refund me and I'm stuck with the domain since it renewed. (see the picture of the screen shot for the chat session.)

brandon: I'm ok. I'm contacting you because I just noticed on my bank statements, about 50 charges from fatcow that I specifically told you guys that I did not want my domains to be renewed.

brandon: I was told by one of your support personnel that all domains under bcercontractorsorg were not auto renewed and they actually turned auto renew off

brandon: each charge was for $16.99, and there are about 50 of them

brandon: I called 888-278-9780

brandon: I want a refund for all charges for these supposed renewals that were posted to my account for bcercontractorsorg.

Yashaswini P: When did you call ?

brandon: I called last week on Friday 2-20-15

Yashaswini P: I am unable to trace any contact made on February 20, 2015.A

brandon: I want to cancel my bcercontractorsorg account as well as any domain names under this account and want an immediate refund on all charges under this account for the domain renewals.

Yashaswini P: Also, the domains were renewed on the same date.

Yashaswini P: We do not issue refund for the domains renewals.

Yashaswini P: Once the domain is renewed, it is yours until it expires.

brandon: I did NOT authorize the renewals

brandon: That's why I called, because I got an email saying that all these domains were going to renew.

brandon: So you're telling me that you're not going to refund me and I have to go to my bank to submit a dispute?

Yashaswini P: I will forward the issue to our specialists. They will contact you with more details.

brandon: How will they be contacting me?

I called my bank and submitted a claim to dispute the charges. They are doing an investigation on fatcow. I know the BBB can't do anything because they're BS themselves, BUT I do want to point something out. 

As of 2-23-15, EIG (fatcow.com's parent company), has 357 complaints in the past 3 years! Only 135 of those are closed in last 12 months. Yet, this company still has a A+ rating.

What a scam!! DO NOT USE FATCOW or any of EIG's aka business names. Here's a link to their BBB Profile so you can steer clear of their other businesses. EIG BBB Profile.

Just look at all the other complaints, even on ripoffreport! Anyone want to join in a form a class action lawsuit against EIG?? This company is a fraud and will steal your money. BEWARE!
