I paid hundreds of dollars for a one week 6-7 business day service. Today is the one month mark for when I started this hell of a process. It took them 2 weeks to tell me that my photo was not valid. Okay not biggy I guess the sate department rejected it. Not sure why I paid for 6-7 day service only to hear about an error two weeks in but okay. I overnighted more photos as my own expense. They arrived on the 4th of April at the office and I was assured that they were walked into the passport agency's offices on the 5th. I call on the 7th to get an update and am told it will ship to me today. Great. Delayed but solved right??? NOPE! NOT ******* CLOSE. On Monday I don't have the passport so I call to get the tracking number for the package. Turns out they didn't have the passport, but I should just wait a few more days. Not trusting them I call the state department passport services agency. Turns out they are still waiting on a photo. Really? You don't have the new photos? Pissed I call back this horror show of a company to demand an explanation and their solution. They say that if I overnight another photo they will really do it this time... Promise. Not buying it I make an appointment with the passport agency in LA take the day off work and go down to see if I can start a new emergency rush in person. Or try to submit a photo to them (as fast passport said may be possible.). Turns out that the only thing more horrible than this company is the united States government. "Yes they see the record?, yes I have the photo, no we won't do anything to help. Next please" So here I am sitting in the cafeteria of the federal building faced with missing my own honeymoon for lack of a visa for lack of a passport for lack of checking the online reviews before I hired these failures. Don't make my mistake. It's faster to mail in your application as a regular Joe and wait the 4 weeks. Insult to injury I have called more than 25 times in the last hour. No answer to their phones. I am so d**n close to lawyering up.
