I need a compound for hair loss. Since there are not too many pharmacies who make compounds these days, I decided to go with Fairoaks Pharmacy, who already had a higher price than some pharmacies who are further away from me and less convenient.
The initial price was $65 for 180ml solution. My doctor prescribed me 9 refills. Then a few month later the pharmacy told me that they need to raise the price since the medication got more expensive. $75 for 180ml solution.
Yesterday I ordered my solution (for the price of $75 for 180ml solution) and I just got a call that they cannot give me the price anymore.
The new price is:
$75 for 60ml solution
or
$225 for 180ml solution
This is a price increase of 300% after an initial price increase of 15.38%. What means it is an increase of 364% within a little bit more than 1 year.
This is a total ripoff and no expectable. I need the medication business related, since I work in the film industry. I cannot afford loosing my hair and with not being able to do the treatment I risk more hair loss again, which will affect me not only in life but also in business.
This is a very malicious business procedure. Especially with not telling be beforehand but on the day when I was supposed to pick up my medication.

Yes you are totally right. 246% increase. I was on the phone with several pharmacies while I was doing the math and this report, to find my medicine, but it makes no big difference as we can probably all agree.
Such a ripoff. Especially after having the account established.
They tried to excuse it with: "The ingreedients are so much more expensive now, we don't make money on it!" Nonsense. I as a consumer can buy the single ingreedients for under $20 and I am sure they have recources to get better prices! ;)

An increase of $65 to $225 is a 246% increase not 364%. That should make you feel 118% better.
