I, too, had the bogus $9.95 charge show up on my credit card statement from ews-design. It was easy to spot as I had not used the card for almost a year. The card was literally locked in a safe. Previously, I had used the card at paypal and several online companies (amazon.com, buy.com). The card number must have been obtained from a database of some online company. There may be more than one database that ews-design is drawing from.

I too have been charged by EWS-Design for $9.95. Charged 3/22/04. I don't have cable through Comcast, as Rick and Jon both do, so I'm not too sure that they are the source of the "credit card leak" as stated above. Hopefully I'll be able to get my money back...

I have Comcast Cable and Paypal use in common with the above person. My guess is that Comcast has a credit card leak. I gave the number to a rep over the phone, to pay a monthly bill.

here are some of my things...i would have prefered to be more private about this, but this board (probably for a good reason) edited my last update to omit my email adress. so here are a few of my online card activities: paypal, microsoft online, comcast cable, jubilee chocolates (awesome chocolates btw). other than that, pretty much just local card use i think. any of these things ring a bell? post here, if so and we will catch these guys. thanks
