I am one of the EssayTown.com employees who dealt with Camelia Borcean's order. To make a long story short, Camelia's complaint is the result of her either ignoring, accidentally deleting, or blocking our email with SPAM software or Yahoo's junk mail filter. In fact, Camelia admitted in one of her emails that she was unsure about her own email filters: "I don't think that my Spam guard is up" What Camelia does not know is that we automatically BCC our own Gmail account on every single email that we send, which enables us to defend ouselves against false non-response claims such as Camelia's. Following is the header (IPs removed for privacy of all parties) of the email that we sent to Camelia on October 30, 2006, which she falsely claims that we did not send. This email is crucial because it explains to her exactly how to choose a different service or begin the refund process. Camelia never responded to that email. The next response we received from Camelia contained quotes from this thread at RipOffReport, accusing us of being "scam artists" because we "never responded" to her. We then told her that we had, indeed, already emailed instructions to her. Her next action was to post this undeserved complaint. As previously mentioned, here is the header of our email to Camelia at 12:49 PM, PST on October 30, 2006: ********************************* X-Gmail-Received: f5f891d3a30461be400f9fc572b73a3269253015 Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: by [IP removed for privacy] with SMTP id e16cs444161bud; Mon, 30 Oct 2006 12:49:29 -0800 (PST) Received: by [IP removed for privacy] with SMTP id l2mr5428112qbr; Mon, 30 Oct 2006 12:49:28 -0800 (PST) Return-Path: Received: from [IP removed for privacy] ([IP removed for privacy]) by mx.google.com with ESMTP id z21si2136842qbc.2006.10.30.12.49.28; Mon, 30 Oct 2006 12:49:28 -0800 (PST) Received-SPF: neutral (google.com: [IP removed for privacy] is neither permitted nor denied by domain of csATessaytown.com) Received: from [IP removed for privacy] ([IP removed for privacy]) (Authenticated sender: csATessaytown.com) by [SMTP removed for privacy] (SMTP Server) with ESMTP id 977A744C040 for ; Mon, 30 Oct 2006 15:49:27 -0500 (EST) Date: 30 Oct 2006 12:49:27 -0800 Message-ID: From: Essay Town Subject: Your EssayTown order - sry2 To: CC: X-Priority: 1 MIME-Version: 1.0 Reply-To: Essay Town Disposition-Notification-To: Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset= "iso-8859-1" X-Virus-Scanned: OK ********************************* Now, here is the header and message from Camelia's next email to us (which we received 2 hours and 11 minutes LATER at exactly 3:00 PM, PST), in which she falsely claims that we have not responded to her email: ********************************* Return-path: Envelope-to: csATessaytown.com Delivery-date: Mon, 30 Oct 2006 16:00:45 -0700 Received: from web31101.mail.mud.yahoo.com ([IP removed for privacy]) by [IP removed for privacy] with smtp (Exim 4.52) id 1Geg7S-0006U5-IN for csATessaytown.com; Mon, 30 Oct 2006 16:00:38 -0700 Received: (qmail 76559 invoked by uid 60001); 30 Oct 2006 23:00:38 -0000 DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=s1024; d=yahoo.com; h=Message-ID:Received:Date:From:Subject: To:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding; Message-ID: Received: from [IP removed for privacy] by web31101.mail.mud.yahoo.com via HTTP; Mon, 30 Oct 2006 15:00:38 PST Date: Mon, 30 Oct 2006 15:00:38 -0800 (PST) From: camelia Subject: 4070-8992-2271-3648 To: csATessaytown.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit When will I get my research paper that I already paid for? Of course not, I have a little bit of integrity. This is what it is all about. Not that Mike lost some money. I imagaine Mike should get what he paid for even if it is 'cheating'. Yes I do have expertise and experience in this situation (I have attended many schools) - I never, repeat NEVER, had somebody else do any of my homework for me. Of course I would never be a customer, see first point about having some integrity. Misfortune of others? If Mike didn't attempt to cheat he would have no misfortunue. I don't have much sympathy for someone who cheats, that is all it is, plain and simple. And, Theodore, if you are a cheater too then that is up to you. And not quite sure what manhood has to do with integrity. Seems Theodore is saying a 'real man' cannot have integrity. Sorry Theodore, again you are wrong - actually I guess you are wrong on all points.

This is addressed to Ralph from Anchorage Alaska: Ralph, You are certainly entitled to your opinion, and far be it for anyone to prohibit your expression of it. However your opinion does not carry any weight or validity and here is why. Are you a customer or representative of the company with a valid stake in the disagreement? No you are not. Are you someone with experience or expertise that offered a useful resolution or useful course of action? No you are not. Are you even a potential customer of this business or known to the filer of the complaint? No you are not. You seem to delight in building yourself up by taking pot shots at the misfortune of others. Please do not waste the time and resources of others with posts offering no intelligent statements. Save them for the Jerry Springer show as this is not the place for your cheap shot insults to repair your manhood, Ralph.

Essaytown accuses others of MISLEADING and LIABLUS statements? That is the pot calling the kettle black.

FACT: No rewrite was offered, these people said and I quote That is what you ordered you received it, there is no re-write and there will be no refund!
FACT: No upgrade of service was offered. Can't essay town's people even say This cannot be done with our basic service, please pay $XXX for the service you requested? All that was offered were insults, and rude behavior, over an outline.
FACT: for the thousands they claim to have helped there are MULTIPLE complaints on file with the Better Business Bureau. Did a bunch of people all over the nation wake up one day and decide to pick on essaytown? Did they draw a name out of a hat and decide to post these reports against essay town for no reason what so ever?
FACT: The only way any reasonable person can become confused is because of the MISREPRESENTATION of essay town's web page, and poor communication from essaytown's owner or representatives. The numerous complaints show that essaytown's web page and service descriptions are not clear and well stated. Clear writing, and clear communication gives clear results, end of story.

We offer three (3) different services. "Mike" paid for our cheapest service, yet demanded the results of our premium service. We're sorry, but that's not how capitalism works. You can't pay for a hot dog, and then complain because you didn't receive the filet mignon from the other side of the menu! He blames us for his poor decisions and misunderstandings. He later refused to pay the higher fee for the necessary custom research on his incredibly intricate, unique topic. That was HIS decision. He paid for our least expensive service through which we deliver the closest match that we have available in our prewritten collection. Customers receive the service level for which they pay--nothing more, nothing less. He apparently chose the wrong one of our three different services for his particular needs, which is HIS mistake, not ours. He was in a hurry, and did not take the time to read about the differences between our three (3) different services prior to placing a hurried order. Despite his misunderstanding of our clearly advertised services, we offered to provide him with a FREE replacement paper. (He falsely claims that we offered no substitute.) He refused, preferrring to continue to insult us and post utterly misleading, libelous accusations on the Internet. How are we supposed to help a person who doesn't want to be helped? We have been online for years, and assisted many THOUSANDS of customers over that period of time. "Mike" is a needle in a haystack. For each confused and disgruntled "Mike," we have many HUNDREDS of happy, satisfied customers every month.

While saying that I am due a refund because they did not offer a quality product, and did not offer a quality substitute. In small claims court I have seen several no refund policies reversed because of that reason. If the business does not have what you want, you would not have done business there, simple first year business law fact. Only driving to cali to sue over $27.95 is not worth it, thus makes them bullet proof in a way. They said they are in their legal rights to deny refund, I said I am in my legal rights to post to consumer advocate sites and this is their response: "FYI, don't think for a second that we do not know about your libelous action from December 8. Our attorneys are on the case, and you will pay dearly in a court of law. We will also not rest until you face your academic review board for suspected plagiarism and copyright infringement. " They are unhappy that people are exposing them for what they are. My libelous action was my dec 8 post to rip-off report. Defined libel" -- (a tort consisting of false and malicious publication printed for the purpose of defaming a living person." This is not false because the facts are in evidence. Second they cannot prove anytype of plagiarism because I recieved the "paper" AFTER the due date, also it was so badly written noone would turn it in. Besides if they threaten they can get me into trouble for using their product, what type of people are they? That is like a drug dealer turning you in to the police for smoking weed! Do not worry these "people" have no case when you post here. They must come to your jurisdiction to sue you, and must PROVE damages. They must prove it was you, PROVE how much damage was done, PROVE they did nothing wrong (ha ha ha,) and PROVE you were malicious. malicious meaning you decided to make up some story to cause damage. They have crossed the libel line if they do contact any institution and accuse anyone of plagiarism. Do not send them any money unless you want to donate to someone with these business practices. Essaytown.com must be reminded that bad business practices must not continue. Read the other rip-off reports and you will see what type of individuals run essay town, and why no one intheir right mind will do business with essay town. Please do not be silent, essaytown has to have other victims, please report so others do not suffer the same fate, and the Attorney General can take action.
