I ordered a 20 pg document online on 6/15 around 6 am. I needed 24 hr service and Essaytown charged me $680. They have not delivered their product within 24 hrs. I have followed directions and clicked on the link they had provided to check the status of this order. It still appears as "not completed yet". My email has no spam filters that would prevent the delivery of this file.

I have emailed [email protected] numerous times and haven't gotten the response. They also appear to have a nonexistant aol account (emails bounces back). Truly fraudulent and suspicious activities. If their guarantee policy stated delivery within a certain time, they should follow it and not allow customer to be uncertain about delivery.

I'm greatly disappointed by this service and at this point I won't ever recommend using this service to anyone. I called the credit card, BBB and other agencies to alert them to the practices of this company because my money has been taken away and I haven't heard from them. What do you do in case like this?

"Any rational person can recognize that she is an academic who is purposely attempting to slander and libel our company." If that's true, then you GO GIRL MELIHA! Can you get several hundred of your friends to do the same thing? LOL!!!

Ordering a "20 pg document", that you need in 24 hours, around 6am sounds like desperation to me. Won't go into the merits of ordering a paper, you're suppose to write yourself because it's been addressed on numerous posts here already.

Now, keep in mind that it has been less than 30 hours since this woman FIRST contacted our company in any manner. She's making it seem as though we've been ignoring her for weeks. She expected us to be able to read, research, and write 20 pages of doctoral-level text, with incredibly intricate specifications, in LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Insane, I know. Any rational person can recognize that she is an academic who is purposely attempting to slander and libel our company. Her order was utterly absurd and unrealistic, yet she had the nerve to threaten us because we took ONE day to respond to her emails. That's right--ONE DAY! Boy oh boy, what poor service! It took us ONE day to respond. That is simply outrageous, isn't it? After all, most other busy companies respond to emails in less than 5 minutes, right? Who does she think she's fooling with this obvious attempt at a set-up? By the way, the $680 refund was already processed BEFORE she made her libelous posting here.

UPDATE: EssayTown response and threatens to call the school authorities

#5Consumer Suggestion

Thu, June 16, 2005

The staff at essaytown addressed my concerns by threatening to call my school dean and integrity office (beware students, if something goes wrong this is what's waiting for you.) I responded and cc'd my school's integrity office informing essaytown that I have alumni email account and graduated from that university many years ago. This report was to be used strictly as my resource material with all collected info on particular area of interest. I also pointed out that by not fulfilling their duties and not responding within 24 hrs as promised while at the same time charging full amount of $680 is fraudulent activity. My credit card also pointed out that they had no contact information for this company on file. BUt what came out of this was the knowledge that the company who you would supposedly trust with the information provided to them, would call the people the student's fear the most, the integrity office, which seems so pitiful. And yes they threatened to call that office if I don't apologize within three hours and submit a proof that I had not called BBB and other legal authorities. IN their first response to my concerns (which by the way arrived almost 36 hrs later), they confirmed that no writer accepted the assignment, but why not inform me at all? My advice, before you order any type of document, check with the Better Business Bureau and online reviews about the company itself.

FROM THOSE OF US WHO ACTUALLY DID OUR OWN WORK THROUGHOUT COLLEGE AND GRAD SCHOOL,,,

Don't expect sympathy. We did our own work and actually learned something. Was it sometimes inconvenient? Absolutely. Were there times that we would have rather been having fun or partying? For sure. But the sacrifice is well worth it, especially when you are actually knowlegeable in your area of study. You are not just cheating your school..you are cheating yourself when you try to pass off a paper as your own that is not.
