I don't know what good sound , sounds like but my system works just fine. I felted fishy about the situation but still purchase it. when I got home I goggled it and found this site. I was so mad but found that it worked just fine for me. I still contacted the police. I hope they get the single guy I met off the streets.

i just fell for the same scam in albert lea mn at the trails truck stop....i watched a man pay 600 bucks for this sound system.... then was approched to buy also i said i wont pay 600 he says make an offer.... i said 250 knowing he would say no...but it backfired he said deal and loaded it into my car before i even gave him cash.....then i said i didnt have 250 and he says well its already in your truck... so then i ask for proof that it isnt stolen and he produced a fed ex packing list with all this information where he got it from and even a instalation reciept from town....he had an open box and showed me the sub woofer....so i went back to my truck opened the box he put in there and it was the same stuff.....so i thought man this is legit.....so i gave him the 250 and the white van drove away... his name was craig fisher .... he wanted me to write a check to him and that who he told me to write it out to....i kinda had a feeling i was getting taken but i guess i am too trusting

TOWN OF TONAWANDA: Two arrested for selling stereos
Staff ReportsTown police arrested two men Thursday for peddling without a permit after they were found selling stereos out of a van.
A resident called just before 3 p.m. to complain that he had been approached by two men who told him they had surplus speakers and other stereo equipment for sale. When questioned by police, Nicholas M. Monaco and Brandon S. Pearce said they work for a company called Epic Sound, buying equipment from a man named Joe on Long Island and reselling it.
The men produced a receipt for the equipment they had, but the company name on the document was Audio and Video Co. The van they were driving was registered to a third company, American Audio Wholesale.
Well, Joe owns a whole bunch of the same kind of companies, Pearce said when asked about the discrepancy.
When questioned apart, both men provided different answers about the nature of their business. Pearce said he and Monaco were co-owners and they buy equipment from Joe. Monaco said the pair only works for Joe.
A search on the Internet led investigators to multiple reports of sales being conducted under the name Epic Sound under similar pretenses. Often those purchasing the items arrived home only to find that the equipment was fake.
The men were released on $100 bail each.

Same thing. But the system did work..it just didn't sound good. He though he was getting a deal because of the MSRP on the box (idiot) and could sell it on ebay and make money. No one sells anything worth buying out of the trunk of their car in a parking lot..but then again I grew up in NYC so I don't trust anyone.

Would anyone buy a high end product out of the back of an SUV, in a parking lot?? Come on, people... It reeks of all the stereotypes of the shifty "salesman" who sells you something "that fell off the back of the truck" or the huckster who walks the street selling sets of "quality" butcher's knives for $50 out of a duffel bag he's carrying. Although I do feel really sorry for you all, once you step back and look at the whole set up, you really have to kind of laugh... Look, next time when and if this happens to you, look at the thing as if you're a third person, passing on the street observing the transaction. Would you laugh at yourself for being gullible? Would you shake your head at yourself for being suckered? Go with that gut instinct in the vein that "if it's too good to be true, it is".

These guys are apparently making their living getting around in Arizona now. A customer of where I work had the system in their car and were more then willing to give it to me, a generous gesture I thought since things have gone topsy turvry lately at home. Get home, open the box and after one look at the manual I see that it's a fake. There were no e-mails, addresses, information or anything else. I immediately got on the computer, looked it up and this was the first site that came up. Sadly there are people trying to sell it on the internet and I'm afraid someone will fall for it. This is most definitely a fake system and not one part of it is usable... unless someone just wants it to sit in their house and look cool.

I was pulling out of the parking lot for my place of employment. I pulled up to take a right on a main road, traffic was backed up beyond my exit. The car that was blocking my exit yelled and asked if I wanted a free home theatre, naturally, home theatre? free? Whats this guy up to We pull into the next parking lot and he tells me that hes on a delivery making a run with these 1999.99 MSRP home theatre speakers. He opens up the back of his red SUV and shows me that he has about 5 of them in which he got 2 extra in a delivery of the lot of them. He tells me that hes off to deliver the rest of them now and that he needs to get rid of them or they'll take the extra. As proof that he's on a delivery, he showed me a fedex package with the amount of the delivery printed on a sheet of paper taped onto the package. The paper included the license plate of the car, the name of the drivers, location to where they were deliverying, it looked incredibly legitimate. He told me that he was going to try to sell them on ebay if he can hide one away for 1000$, and if I was going to do the same, at least wait a week so he doesnt have competition. After some talking, he opens up the completely "factory" sealed box, shows me the speakers, and walks me to the nearest ATM to pull out 100 dollars. I give him 200 dollars, in order to build more rapport with me, he also tells me that if I ever see him around, i should can just buy him some beers as well since the price he was asking was so cheap. The second I get back to work, I did some research and immediately realized what I had done. I'm a college student. I don't have a lot of money lying around. I'm trying my best to buy christmas presents for my entire family for the first time in years. then this happens. I wrote down the license plate number and have the cell phone number of the man who sold it to me. Chris was the con artist, randy was the driver. Tiffany, please call me at 813 951 1324 and tell me the end result of what happened with the product. I would love to see if we can somehow get this resolved.
