I too was Ripped Off by Emachines and after being told my laptop would not be covered under waranty, and after Wal-Mart refused to help me, I sued Wal-Mart pro-sa in small claims court, for failing to sell me under Contract a reliable Computer. When I gave them my money we entered into a contract arrangement for reliable goods, yes I won my court case against Wal-Mart, so folks go after the re-sellers! if nothing else you will get your money's worth and then some when they have to use their high dollar atty's, if anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me for any further details. Ok, So my husband talked to Serena at corporate, and I talked to Matt. Who both said we basically now had to wait 72 hours at emachines "convenience" to have one of their "senior Techs" call us back. hmmmm how much more annoyed must they make the customer. A lot apparantly. When I asked repeatedly to speak to someone who would be a little more considerate of the customers requests I was told that no one else there could talk to me. When I asked to have the name of his manager, or those in charge of the corporate office I was told that they do not give out that information. When I asked if I was "allowed" to have it Matt kept repeating they don't give out that information. He basically would just keep repeating automatic responses, never actually helping me or answering my questions. Finally after he downright refused to answer my questions, and implied that I was pretty much stupid for not understanding his response, when he never actually answered my question, he then hung up on me.
