I just received a postcard from emachines for their Holiday Desktop Rebate stating my submission was not postmarked within 30 days of purchase date.

I sent my all five of my rebate forms out a week after my purchase that Circuit City was promoting. I have received only one from Circuit City all others (4) I have not received. Since they all have a expiration of 30 days after purchase how is it that Circuit City received the rebate request and emachine did not.

This is ridiculous!!!. I did wasn't interested in buying another Gateway product but the promotion was a good one and coming from a reputable store like Circuit City I believe the rebate offers were legitimate.

Unfortunately, like many here we found out otherwise.

I hope we can recoup our monies, I will never purchas another Product from this company again that is a definite.

The same thing has happened to me. I call the toll free number and tell them the date the letter was mailed. I tell them I took the letter to the counter and saw the date postmarked on the envelope. They change the status and process the rebate.

You have no complaint toward Circuit City from what I can tell. Maybe I missed something but it seems to me as if you are acutally quite satisfied with the fact that you got the CCITY rebate.
