I paid for a ticket that was over twice the amount of Greyhound to ride on El Expreso Bus.

Why would I pay twice the amount when I knew Greyhound was less than half the price? Because El Expreso had the arrival times online and it showed I would arrive earlier to my destination and I thought it was worth the extra charge.

The bus arrival time to my destination was an hour late. This caused issues not just for me being late, but also on the people who were nice enough to pick me up and especially wait an extra hour at the bus terminal for me.

The same day I arrived, I called El Expreso about the situtation and if I may have a discount or a refund on the ticket. I would gladly have accepted a discount, compensation, even if a full refund wasn't on the table. They refused to offer me anything and suggested me to use a coupon next time on the bus travel if I wanted a discount.

I would suggest El Expreso update their arrival times if this is normal for them being late so the riders will be well informed about their true arrival times.

SO TYG the OP says nothing about delay, in fact if you actually read the Complaint the OP infers that the Scedule is wrong.

The OP called the bus company about the descrepency and asked for a partial or even full refund due to the inconvieniance caused by this. No Joy there. Technically the Bus Company is not required to affer or provide discounts or refunds for services rendered. But the OP could probably win a Small Claims case.

But I bet the advertising is still deceptive and incorrect. It will remain that way until the bus company gets publicly spanked for it.

By the way where I live more than one Bus company  has been prosicuted for false advertising for exactly this practice.

I wasn’t expecting a full refund. I was more in the line of expecting a discount or some type of compensation. I wouldn’t be an hour late if I was traveling by car. I am not whining but saying they should offer better customer service and update their arrival times to better reflect their estimated arrival times. Especially better customer service when their remedy to the situation was for me to use a coupon next time if I wanted a discount.

For the nothing I had to deal with?

Everything that occurred was within their control. There was not any traffic.

If I charged someone to drop them off at a certain location by a certain time and I didn’t fulfill by duties, I would expect them to blame me for it. That is what an adult does, accept their responsibility.

Yes, I agree, children do not think like adults. So they misspell “their”, “don’t”, the contraction of “it is”, and they love to capitalize complete words and over use exclamation marks.

 Its a bus line. Meaning it has the SAME delays as someone travelling by a car. SO if YOU were an hour late then YOU WERE A HOUR LATE!!!! The bus company CAN NOT control the traffic. To expect a full refund is stupid, but to even whine about it only shows that YOU are a child and YOU want something for the NOTHING you had to deal with. Grow up and get over yourself. YOU are trying to hold them accountable for situations BEYOND thier control. How would YOU like it if YOU had someone blame YOU for something YOU could not control?? Oh thats right!!!! Children doent think like adults...
