I emailed them WELL WITHIN the three day period - -literally within hours of signing up, and they refused to refund it because the address I listed at my parents' was not in the state I am a legal resident of (IL). I will now need to contact the Chicago Times about their predatory behavior in a time of COVID (for god's sake) and forward it to the attorney general's office (thank God for being a law student, I guess). Ridiculous!

You fabricated your claim concerning a three-day law. A commenter asked you to be specific. Is evading questions part of your law school training?

I'm not corresponding with some coward on the internet anymore. Your customer service staff can deal directly with them.

Since you are a "Law Student", perhaps you can tell us the SPECIFIC law requires them to give you a refund if you cancel within 3 days?
I just hope you aren't referring to the 3-Day right to cancel. As that only applies to Door-To-Door sales and Timeshares.
By the way what type of Membership did you have?

My legal residence is NOT my parents' residence (which I am currently at due to COVID), as I have my student ID, school schedule, etc. to prove it. And in fact, my last tax return was filed in Maryland -- ALSO a state covered by the 3 day refund policy!!
