Over one year ago, I paid $3,113.00 to Easy Out Bonding, Gainesville, Ga., to post bond for my daughter, who'd been arrested in Hall County, Ga. Her case was finally heard and disposed of 4 months ago, and this company now refuses to return my collateral in the amount of $2,500.00, citing a violation of "the contract".

The problem is that that due to their negligence, there

is not now and never was any contract issued! Easy Out Bonding was negligent in not issuing the contract required in a bail bond transaction, and they were negligent in not providing me with the required disclosure. And they're now trying to profit further from their dishonesty by holding me to a contract that they know they did not issue, and to terms they know they did not disclose.

Easy Out Bonding was unprofessional, deceitful and unethical. They withheld not only the required bail bond contract from me, which would have advised of any conditions and liabilities, but they also omitted any mention of these conditions, which they NOW claim this bail bond was subject to and which they claim entitles them to my $2,500.00.

Worse yet, the owner of Easy Out Bonding, Ms. Ann Farmer, has become quite creative as of late, and has recently advised attorney Brett D. Turner, to threaten me with "criminal arrest for telephone harassment" if I contact the company in any way, even by fax!! This is outrageous, even for her, but IS a clever way to take my money and not have to answer for it.

And with her attorney Brett Turner, all the while, happily and willingly assisting in this harassment and intimidation. As it stands now, I'm out $2,500.00, neither Ms. Farmer nor attorney Brett Turner bother to respond to my correspondence, and I've been threatened with arrest if I so much as call to inquire about this.

So please, take if from me, someone who knows - If you're ever unfortunate enough to be in need of a bail bond service, whether in or out of the state of Georgia:

AVOID EASY OUT BONDING AT ALL COSTS, UNLESS YOU WANT EVEN MORE TROUBLE IN YOUR LIFE!!

Dealing with this company, and its' owner Ann Farmer and her tireless, tyrannical attorney, Brett Turner, is pure hell and is an ordeal that no one should have to go through. They'll make whatever trouble you've gotten yourself into seem like a walk in the park.

So be forewarned, be smart and if the need arises, use another bonding company, or try (competitor's name deleted). They're in Gainesville, are professional, and as I know from experience, WILL return your collateral.

Like the other person commented the papers you signed at the time of release was a bail contract. However any property or funds taken other than the premium charged for services should have been listed in the Bond File as Collateral and you should have been given a reciept for this. If this did not happen it was bad business on their part and poor protection on yours. How ever they should be regulated by a bail bond board threw the state and all records are usually kept for 5 years. You may contact that board and file a complaint for review. They will have to provide the board with all the proper paper work with your signatures. That is your about your only step to resolving this. Bail Agent Arkansas USA

She had to sign papers in the jail or at the court; this was her bail contract and she was advised of any special conditions. Don't blame the bonding agent for you not knowing how these things work. You paid them an agreed upon fee for a service they rendered. This is NON-REFUNDABLE.
