We just had our dog Sparky (German Shepard) neutered By DR.moss. WE were charged in excess of $475. Then we were told, after the surgery that we could not take him back there because it took 3 staff members to handle him. They should have told us before they started the surgery,Iwould have found a vet that could handle him. They sent us a reminder that his rabies shot was due, Lime vaccination Also. When called to set up appointment, woman on phone told us Dr. Moss Did not wantto take care of our puppy. What a professional ATTITUDE.

We took our hamster and my ex-wife's dog in for a well-animal checkup. We were told we could leave the dog for 2 hours and they could do a quick run down of the hamster. My daughter wanted to know the sex of the hamster so the doctor proceeded to 'examine' the patient. While I stood there reading posters about heartworms in dogs I turn around to see the doctor exposing the genetalia of the hamster to my little girl making the comment "Look at the set on this big guy!" Then he lunged the small animals rather large appendage at my daughters hand which was resting on the exam table telling her to "touch it and feel how smooth it is!" She screamed, I charged the doctor and he dropped the hamster, the hamster falls (they say jumped) off of the table and runs under the door. We hear a bunch of commotion and a huge German Shepherd (they said an unruly one) attacked our hamster and literally swallowed him whole! I immediately asked for my dog back as we would like to leave immediately. They refused stating that I had to pay partially for the services rendered! What services rendered? I walked down the 'employees only' hallway and started opening every door there was. The assistants were following and yelling at me when I opened the last door - and there he was, most of his hindquarters had been shaved and they were taking digital video and still picks of his doggy business and posting them to the internet on some sicko animal pornography website! The doctor who was in hot pursuit of me charged in behind me to grab my arm when he dropped his chart and saw my humiliated nude doggie and said "Look at the set on this guy!" That's when my daughter and I grabbed our dog and got the hell out of there. They later sent me a bill of nearly $800.00 which I ripped up. Don't go there unless your dog is hung it won't make the internet.

James, I think that you are jumping the gun on something that should not be taken personally. First of all, you mentioned that you were charged $475 for the surgery. As opposed to what...the prices of all the OTHER vets that you didn't bother to contact? Let me tell you that $475 is not unreasonable for a dog that size when you take into consideration the amount of anesthesia needed to put it out. Secondly, the doctor & his/her practice has every right to deny services to your pet. These are private practices, they are not state run facilities. You might think that your GS puppy is really cute & I am sure that he is...in your backyard. It is quite another thing when you are a doctor or a technician & you have 30 patients in the day & you have to spend half of your time (not to mention your staff's time) fumbling around with one unruly patient. If it took 3 people to deal with him, he had to be unruly. Thirdly, you say that they should have told you BEFORE the surgery. Unless, the vet is also a psychic, determing your puppy's reaction to strange people or new places would be pretty difficult now wouldn't it? Lastly, the vet cared about your pet enought to give you the heads up on his vaccine expiration. It is NOT a slap in the face..it is PROFESSIONALISM & CARING. Next time, post a REAL rip off not a typed up temper tantrun because you feel personally insulted. In the time it took you to dial up, log on and type, you could have been taming the beast.
