DRI SWI, INC. CARDQUERY.COM This company charged my credit card 44.64 It must be a scam. Internet Internet
I have been studying my credit card bill as it seemed unusually high. OK I have been buying things on eBay so I studied my PayPal account as well. There is a rogue payment (not via PayPal) taken from my card. The payment is to "DRI SWREG, INC CARDQUERY.COM" (That's exactly as its printed on the statement). I have phoned the credit card company already but their fraud office is closed until after the New Year holiday.
With proper jobs vanishing like autumn leaves, scamming is on the up and up. A new scam is the supermarket car park scam. They "outsource" car parking control to "cowboys" who install CCTV and number plate readers. The cowboys then reduce the "2 hours free parking" (which was always a very nominal 2 hours) to 90 minutes and zero seconds. No warning signs as this would give the game away. People get sent bills for 70 for "overstaying" as the government sells the publics details to the cowboys. A variation on the no warning signs trick is to have a big warning sign and obscure it with a big van. Legally the cowboys are skating on very thin ice and a robust reply should see them off but if half the victims pay they are onto a very good earner.

Whoops! I finally got to the bottom of it. I had bought something with a credit card but the trader didn't bill me with his own company name. After using Google to find cardquery.com I was able to enter my email and from this the transaction was discovered. The car parking is still a scam however!
