As a disabled, retired veteran of the U.S. Army, I injured my spine during the Vietnam war and have faced horrible pain since then, in spite of numerous surgeries to correct it. I met Dr. Concepcion 2 years ago and, at the time, he seemed nice and it appeared he wanted to help me. I had United Healthcare for insurance and he seemed pleased with the arrangement.
After about a year of him working on me, throwing everything in his bag of tricks he could find, he suggested several outpatient procedures that shocked me! I got a second opinion from two other drs and they too were surprised saying the things he wanted to do to me were of no real value, and if anything, would make matters worse.
About that time, I was having problems with my regular health insurance and started relying on my Medicare to cover costs (this means he would receive less money from Medicare than what he used to receive with my regular health insurance). I noticed when this happened that Dr. Concepion began to act strangely. He would spent less time with me. He wouldn't see me but every other month and he always rushed in and out of the room not giving me much of a chance to ask any questions or get any help. I keenly felt he was more into patients who could make him more money and enjoyed discriminating against those who couldn't. I tried to reach him on three different occasions, leaving messages with his nurse practioners, but none of them ever returned any of my calls. This bothered me greatly and after talking to my wife, we decided to change drs.
I cancelled all my remaining appointments and tell the recepionist that I won't be coming back.
Three months later, I get a bill for over $1600.00. I call them and they got nasty with me over the phone saying I owed it when I did not. I told them I wouldn't pay it and they threatened to sue me and report it to the credit bureau. I was livid. They turned it over to a collections bureau and after getting several harassing phone calls daily, for several month, I decided to pay it, though I probably should have taken it to court.
SO, if anyone is considering Dr. Pablo Concepcion as a Pain dr, I strongly suggest you think again. They are more interested in making money off the patients than helping them. They nurse practioners are disrespect and rude. I had to wait over an hour each time just to see the Dr. They are overbooked, yet I see them advertising for more and more patients.
After my terrible experience, I started doing some checking on Dr. Concepcion and I quickly noticed he doesn't have the best reputation in Pensacola. I've also heard that he has suddenly dropped pain patients, leaving them in a lurch, with no medication, which has got to be the worst thing a pain dr. can do.
In other words, AVOID Dr. Concepcion at all costs!!!

We are quite surprised to see Dr. Concepcion's name listed on the Ripoff Report website. Our practice is contracted with Medicare, for the purpose of taking care of patients. We do not offer patient's lesser or greater care based on their insurance. We are committed to the ethical, professional care that our patients deserve... A multidisciplinary approach to allowing the control of pain at a functional level. We support our mission statement for all of our patients, and this does not alter based on the insurance they may have. Our treatment plans are outlined based on the best care options for the patient. We are extremely distraught to think a patient would feel anything other than this.
