Dorrian Heating and Cooling Lowered height of gas fireplace flame and adjusted gas pressure. Waukee Iowa
Repairman lowered height of gas fireplace flame and adjusted gas pressure in first 15 minutes he was here. He then cleaned glass cover, which I had told him I could do and had done. He also repositioned 4 small imitation wood logs, which I also could have done. He also did some cleaning with a small paint brush, taking another 5 minutes. The remaining time was spent chatting and writing up his bill. He was here for an hour. The bill totaled $275.07. I told him that was way too much to charge in West Des Moines, Iowa. He said that was the way they charged for their services. I was in a hurry to get to a dental appointment so I paid him and left. Upon further reflection I realized I would have refused to pay that much if I hadn’t been in such a hurry to get to my appointment. I called the business the next day and they said that was the way they charged and there would be no adjustment on the bill.
if ever there was a rip-off, this is it.
