Dogg Digital Audio rip-off I paid him & later found that the speakers sound like junk and not worth what they said, ripoff deception, they don't even work!
I can't seem to find Dogg Digital Audio anywhere other than the Internet (and they don't list cantact info on their site).
I was driving along Miramar Road when two men pulled up on my left in a pickup with an oversized camper and started shouting at me. When I rolled down my window, they told me that they wanted to give me a free pair of speakers. We pulled over to a nearby parking lot.
The driver pulled the truck up quite a distance away from where I parked. The passenger came up to me and told me that he had installed high-end speakers in some person's home and had an extra pair. His boss told him to "get whatever you can for them".
He showed me a catalog listing the exact speakers (Dogg Digital Audio, SL-1100) at $1200 each and told me that he had already got rid of a pair for $800 a piece. I was stupid and was about to leave, but he said he'd give them to me for $200 each.
He put the speakers in my car and we drove to an ATM to get the money. I paid him, and later found that the speakers don't even work!
These bastards are everywhere in the US. Don't get ripped off. If they try to sell to you, get the plate #, make, and model of their car.

Hey I tried calling he company and coudn't get a refund without a receipt which of course I was given none. I am wondering if you contacted them and what happened when you did. How do we contact or talk to other posters on this site?

Dogg Digital Audio, La Jolla, CA I found the following comments on the Dogg website indicating that they are aware of these rip-offs. It seems weird that a company spend so much time talking about how many copies of their product there are out there instead of trying to get money for copyright and trademark violation. "DOGG DIGITAL ONLY DISTRIBUTES SUPER HIGH QUALITY SPEAKERS. WE WILL NOT DISTRIBUTE ANY LOW QUALITY LOUDSPEAKERS. ALL DOGG DIGITAL PRODUCTS HAVE OUR TWO-YEAR WARRANTY CARD INCLUDED INSIDE THE SPEAKER BOX. [...] DOGG DIGITAL AUDIO HAS DESIGNED AND DEVELOPED THE NUMBER ONE LINE OF SPEAKERS FOR MOST AMERICANS TODAY. DOGG DIGITAL SPEAKERS ARE SO POPULAR THAT THERE ARE NOW FIVE OTHER COMPANIES MAKING COPIES OF OUR LINE OF SPEAKERS! YOU NEED TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASED THE REAL DOGG DIGITAL BRAND. I did some more hunting on Dogg Audio and discovered a phone number for people seeking to be new dealers. Surely enough, there is no address listed in connection to the number. Dogg Digital Anaheim, CA 92806 (714) 978-0211
