Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I saw several adds for Dish Network offering over 120 channels of programming for $24.99.  I telephoned the one that seemed to offer the most goodies.  The Dish Network ad that I chose "Current promotional offer": Free instalation of up to six rooms (no equipment to purchase), I ordered 5 rooms of installation; 2 rooms of HD-DVR Upgrade.  Instead of two regular boxes you get the good DVR ones (according to salesman).  Free HBO (8 chan) & Free Showtime (10 chan) for three months; Free activation ($99.99 value); Free $25.00 Visa gift card.  According to ad "Dish Network provides you with: the nation's lowest price, the most HD channels, Free service on secod TV, Highest quality picture, 99.9% reliability, rated number 1 in Customer Service (ha ha this is according to Dish Network, because I didn't find this to be true.  Exclusive Welcome Center support.

I was sold three boxes.  Two of the boxes were to be upgraded free to the DVR ones (according to the ad) at $6.00 ea.  However, the non-DVR box was to cost $7.00.  (Later Dish Network told me that they don't have reg boxes they only have DVR ones).  The salesman took $10.00 out of account as a test (which I questioned, but was emphatically assured that after my internet was activated it would be put back into my account).  Unbeknown to me they also took at $1.00 out of my account.  I had to pay in advance.  So, my bill came to a total of $43.64.

I printed the ad from the internet and wrote down everything that was being said in our contract.  I had the salesman repeat everything back to me several times to make sure that what he was saying were the actual items in the contract that we were creating.  He stated everything back to me per batum, and later I had him repeat it again.  I wrote everything down as he stated them to me.  As an RN I know that this is they way to creat a legal document that will stand up in court.  The salesman was really nice to me and I didn't have any reason for concern untill...

I ordered 5 rooms installation (ad stated free up to six rooms of installation)

The two DVR box upgrads of $6.00 ea for a total of $12.00.

I ordered a third box, which wasn't DVR for $7.00.

I was told that after the installation was complete then, I would get the free $25.00 Visa card.

The salesman stated that I had such good credit that I had the opportunity to purchase 16 channels that played all of the nations top movies for an additional $10.00, which I accepted.

Then...  The Dish Installer arrived.  He walked into the house without any equiptment, which I thought strange.  He didn't even have a screw driver.  All he had was a piece of paper in his  hands.  He said that he "had a work order to install two rooms and he only had one DVR, because a DVR can be used for two rooms.

I explained that this wan't what I had ordered.  I showed him my ad from the internet and the verbal contract that I had written on it from the salesman.  The installer stated that "he could only perform what was on his work order and it was illegal for him to install anything else."

He agreed to call Dish Network, because I was sure there was a misunderstanding.  When I got on the phone with Dish Network the woman identified herself as Falicia.  Falicia didn't alow me to tell her what I had ordered.  She abrassively dictated that "If I wanted satellite tv service then these were the prices."  Then, she dictated prices that were more than double the prices that the salesman had sold me.  She was extremely abrassive and rude to me.  She explalined that "I had to pay $14.00 for every DVR Box and since I needed installatoin in five rooms that would be five times $14.00 ect.  I had to pay for the installation in all of the five rooms.  So, my total pre-paid price of $43.64, wasn't enough money.  According to Falicia "I would have to pay an additional sixty dollars in addition to the $43.64 that I had already paid.  I would also have to pay this higher amount every month for two years.

Basically, Falicai who worked for Dish Network told me that they were associated with Infinity Sales Group, but they weren't really Dish network.  In all of the adds that I have looked at there are several different companies that state that they are sales associates of Dish Network.  Dish has contracted with several other companies to sell their satellite service.  Then, Dish installs it and runs it from there.  I told them "NO" I wasn't going to pay any more money.  I had a contract and if Dish Network chose to break that contract with me then, I would go from there.

I have received several telephone calls from Jennipher at 866-659-3474.  I finally spoke to Jennipher at Infinity Sales Group.  She stated that she was a manager there.  Jennipher wanted to play back the recording of the conversation that I had made with their sales person."  I laughed.  (I hadn't ever given them permisison to record our conversation, but there was something wrong if she wanted to play it back to me.)  My instincts told me that somone had changed it around.  Otherwise, why would she want to play it back to me?!!!  I know what I said to the salesman and I know what he stated to me!  I wasn't going to back down from the truth.  One of the reasons that I had him repeat our sales agreement several times was just in case something like this happened.  Then, I would be protected.  When that didn't work she became frustrated and said, "well, you didn't read the fine print."

What fine print?

She said "the fine print on the back of the ad."  There isn't a back side to the internet ad.  I laughed again.  There was someone in the background telling her what to say and they were as loud as she was.  I could hear them clearly.

Jennipher: "well, the print is really tiny."

me" "how tiny?"

J: "Really tiny so that its hard to see."

I laughted.  There isn't a back side to the ad, besides I have a copy of your ad right in front of me and there isn't any fine print on it.

Next Jennipher attempted to offer me inflated prices to the items that I had ordered.  I laughed again.

No one had asked my permission to record my conversation with this salesman.  Anyone can fix and mix words on a recording.  The fact that she kept wanting to play it for me forced me to believe that something was fishy.  She actually admitted that the information on the ad wasn't what was actually offered in their dish package, which means that she admitted to FALSE ADVERTISMENT.

Dish Network tried to blame Infinity Sales, and Infinity Sales tried to change their story around several times.  They are both responsable.  Falicia stated that Infinity Sales and Dish Network were partners then, she tried to change what she had just said and couldn't.  The installer listened to the conversation that I had with Fallicia and can testify to what she said.  He and I discussed it at length and agreed that Infinity and Dish had lied to me.  This was a con job and they didn't have any intention of giving their tv programming to me or anyone else for $24.99 a month.  I really think that after spending hours setting up the Dish Network service, then, having to go through everything that I did with them that they need to be sued for False Advertisement along with falsely tapping my converstion with the salesman and anything else we can think of.  I'm reallly angry about this.

When I asked when they were going to put the money back into my account they said that it could take up to 45 days.  They just barely put the $43.64 back.

I am so tired of liars and cons and they call themselves a business.  I have reported this to the better business burea.

There are several issues with the above complaint. First as an employee of Infinity Sales Group (If any one really knew what they were talking about and wanted to file a formal complaint they would know that this is the name of our company), let me go over the pricing of the Americas Top 120 Package, with 5 Televisions and DVR on 4 of them.

This is a 2 Year Agreement. The promotional prices last for 12 months (Not 2 years, 12 months). If you thought that price was guaranteed for 2 years then you should have listened to the final terms and conditions recording that every agent is required to play before completing a work orderg.

America's Top 120 - $24.99 Regular price is $44.99. This means you are saving $20.00 a month for the first 12 months.

First two TV's -FREE
DVR service on first two TV's- $6.00 a month total.
Price for TV's 3, 4, and 5- $7.00 a month each.

This would make your total monthly bill in this package $51.99 a month before you state satellite tax. Tax exempt if you live in NY or IL.

DVR service on TV's 3 and 4 is an additional $3.00 a month.

This would total out your monthly bill at $54.99 a month for the first year. $74.99 a month for the second year.
We are not able to change the recordings to make it sound like something that was not said or said incorrectly, was said properly. Numbers are numbers. We can't change the agent saying $54.99 to $43.00 a month. Dish Network listens to those calls and scores the individual agents strictly based on compliance points. Agents who are not compliant will and have been terminated. There is a strike system in place at Infinity.

The only reason you are dissatisfied is because you signed up for a product without listening closely to everything that was said. In the event the agent did lie to you, the company I work for was probably trying to play the recording to you to admit where the mistakes were, and try or offer some sort of peace offering to save your business.

Infinity Sales Group is a great place to work for. They provide excellent compensation and benefits for their employees. We sell a true product, and feel like most of our customers are extremely happy with the product and customer service we provide them. Keep in mind, we have the money to support a direct marketing campaign to all of the continental United States. No company would be able to continually support the costs for a direct marketing campaign if we were "ripping people off" which is exactly what this site is for. We provide a true product, and tell you everything up front and over the phone. Of course our advertisements are going to have $19.99 a mo. for 12 months written all over them. It got you to call in. Once you call in we fit you with a package that truly fits your needs that is within your budget. Please let us do our jobs, because we're all great at it, just like I'm sure your great at your job. Listen to everything we say, and the recordings we play in our calls say and there will not be any issues or surprises.

And for the RN that wrote this article. I'm very sorry for the low blow, but don't you think it is sad that a high school educated man in his early twenties that works in a call center can spell better then a Registered Nurse with a college degree? I have nothing against nurses, in fact my mother is one. I'm just trying to prove a point that maybe you didn't truly understand what you were signing up for.
