I made the mistake of ordering dish nework in july of 2006. I was told that I would get four rooms of installation for free with a $49.99 activation fee, which would roll over the first two months meaning I would not recieve a bill. I was also told that I would recieve 200 channels for only $19.99 a month for the first 4 months and then for $29.99 for the remainder of the 12 months. This sounded wonderful.

I went ahead and agreed to do it. I made sure to reitterate myself several times so that I could make sure that I was getting what they said. A week later I had my dishnetwork installed. I now had 4 new holes drilled into my house (which i was not told was going to happen.) but i had my dish so it seemed a small price to pay.

A week into my bliss i wanted to rent a movie, so i contacted dish like the little screen said. This is when all hell broke loose. I found out that my first bill was going to be $178. What happened to the rollover of the activation fee. Oh now this is where i was informed that my bill was actually $49.99 a month not 19.99 but that i could lower my channels to basic and get the $19.99 a month ..

Uh no. I want what i was told not what you now want to give me. I was also told there was a $5 a month charge because i didn't have my phone connected to my dish, which i was never informed was a necessity. Also the bill for the first month includes the first 2 months.

So i got royally upset and cancelled the service with the understanding that I would be refunded the $49.99 within 7-10 business days.

Well a month later I finally recieved my refund. Great I am done with these worthless people right? Wrong!!! Just two days ago, on August 24, they again billed me once for $49 and another for $2. Now what is this for. I don't have there service so why in the world am i being billed.

I sent the equipment back and thought that was that. Now i have to figure out what i am being billed for, and wait god only knows how long for a refund. This company misleads people and i think too many people just take it. Not me. I am tired of their shady business.
