Dish Network Satellite really dishes it out!! what a rip off scam! ..read the fine print
Our story begins in september,2000.Being enticed with all the ads about the benefits of satellite t.v.,we decided to sign a one year contract with Dish Network.In late Sept.
Our tech. arrived to install our new satellite system. When spring sprang in atlanta,so did the leaves on our trees, blocking the satellite reception. By the end of May, all we could recieve was local stations.
Tech shows up on friday to tell us that there is nothing he can do as far as placing the dish in another spot and that with the completion of his report, we will not have to honor our contract. Phone the tech support at 800-333-dish only to be told that we"cannot break a contact due to line of sight issues"So, it was told to us by Rudge, at the tech center in Va.that we must continue paying $49.00each month for the remainder of our conract, for the priviledge of watching three bouncing web-t.v.logos on our otherwise black screen.
What an all out scam.Web t.v. does nothing to stand behind thier service and is full well aware of installations done while trees are not in full bloom is an underhanded way to lure consumer dollars. They claim no responsibility for the way THEY installed the dish. Be warned to read the fine print to ANY agreement.
