Direct One Long Distance ripoff, fraudulent billing! They put me on hold for over 6 hours! Beverly Hills California Internet
When the second fraudulent billing appeared in September I called the number on my statement and found it was no longer in service. Happily, a Google search for that number turned up on the badbusinessbureau.com site and I knew I was in trouble.
One of the rip-off reports had a different number for the company and I got through to a human after about 14 disconnections. He was understanding and told me to look for both billings to be credited within a billing cycle or two.
Imagine my surprise when there were two credits on my Sept 29 statement! But that quickly gave way to dismay when I say that I was billed again on the very same day as the credits.
To this point (5:10 pm CDT) I have been on continous hold to "customer service" for 6 hours and 50 minutes.
I'll update this after I deal with the company I have reason to believe shared my account info with these people who give every indication of being thieves
