Di Spirito Masonry and TIle John Di Spirito, John Dispirito Took $1200 and did no work Jacksonville Florida
Dispirito was contracted for demo and tile work on a residential bathroom remodel. He requested an initial payment of $1200 in order to purchase the required insurance and material. He notfied me on the morning of January 15, 2018, the contracted start date, he would not be able to work. After rescheduling for the following Wednesday, January 17,2018, Dispirito again failed to show.
After communication throughout the next weeks, Dispirito assured me I would have my refund of $1200 on Febuary 9, 2018. As of Febuary 26, 2018 no payment, or communication, has been made by John Dispirito. I advise anyone seeking to contract with this company, not to. Apparently, he has a record of similiar events and will continue to take money.

After contacting the Sheriff's Department and filing a report, I recieved my refund of $1200. After the deputy contacted Dispirito, the deputy told me Dispirito said he did not refund my money due to my comments on Ripoff Report and my complaint to the BBB. The Deputy told me he said he would refund my money in 2 weeks, and if payment was not made to contact the Deputy again. At the 2 week mark, I contacted the Deputy and advised her there was no payment made. After Dispirito was contacted by the Sherrifs's Department again, he texted me a copy of 2 money orders totaling $1200 and told me to remove my comments from the BBB and Ripoff Report.
I recieved the money orders for the $1200 payment on April 24, 2018. Instead of removing my original post as John Dispirito ordered, I will post this amendment to show he did pay the refund after 3 months and a lot of difficulty.

You've been refunded the $1,200. The reason why? I couldn't barely even move or walk or work. 2018 flu. "I failed to show" You wanted me to work while I caught a sever case of the flu. While you knew I had the flu, I called and contacted you numerous of times telling you I am severely ill. And then you type I failed to show. No.. Really? Still, you've received a refund of $1,200.
