Dede Akin Enchantment Arts & Crafts False advertising, misleading, con behavior. Misrepresents herself and trade show booths she sells. Albuquerque, New Mexico
Dede Akin operates/manages Enchantment Arts & Crafts in Albuquerque, NM. Among the various events and shows she 'sublets' booth spaces at include the State Fair of New Mexico, Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, and an Arts & Crafts show in November at the Manuel Luhan Exhibit Hall.
She misrepresents herself as being part of these major events when in reality she rents space near the events and 'sublets' to unsuspecting vendors who believe they are setting up to sell at these events. These events won't even acknowledge or allow signing for these vendors to be put up.
She charges fees that are comparable to the "real" exhibit space and makes you believe you are better off with double the traffic of than the other exhibit spaces. The truth (at the NM State Fair anyways) is that you are in an alley behind the exhibit hall with about 1/10 the traffic of all of the other exhibitors on the entire fair grounds.
Once you pay her your money, beware, the first words she speaks in response to a complaint is "no money back!"
She is nice and sweet until you pay in full and arrive at which time she has a careless attitude that utters 'your booth and your sales are your problem'. See, once you are paid in full and arrive, she's made her money and that's all she cares about. T Vendors of all types, please beware and cautious of doing business with this person and business.
