Complaint Review: David Lee - David McGregor - Elizabeth Shreve - Myrna Tennessee

I responded to an ad on craigslist for an at home data entry job. I received an email from David McGregor saying he was working for Nokia Technologies Inc. asking me to answer some interview questions, which I did. He suggested I down load yahoo.messenger for an online interview.

Two days later received a message from David Lee through yahoo.messenger asking me for an interview. The interview is as follows:

David Lee: As for your duties, they will be as follows: Your Primary duties include: Preparation of Balance sheets (Mini),Paying workers in your department,account balancing, invoicing recording, proper data analysis of sales records and recording pay slips into accounting database all these will be done through the use of the Accounting Software.

abbiefanestil: awesome! Those things are what I am good at. I look forward to working with you.

David Lee: your secondary daily duties would be to report to your Supervisor, who would be attached to you online, He/She would assign logs of duty daily and you would be required to work according to instructions, using the Microsoft Office tools and the Accounting software. Now the function of the Accounting software is to arrange, formalize and manage the data you have processed, sent to yoursupervisor via E-mail.

David Lee: i belive you can handle such task..?

abbiefanestil: like Quickbooks or something similiar?

David Lee: yes

David Lee: You will earn $30 per hour and you will receive your pay via direct deposit/check every friday of the week..

abbiefanestil: When an employer hires an employee...the employee does not have to put money up front. As you mentioned above...privacy is of the utmost importance.

abbiefanestil: I guess the commettment is to trust i am a loyal person who is willing to give your firm my time, energy, skills and effort but not $250 to someone I do not know...without some sort of verfication

abbiefanestil: because I believe this to be a scam...and after looking at CraigTech.com...their human resoucres department does not have anything to do with online interviews within yahoo. you know that saying...if it's too good to be true, it it...well this just doesn't add up

abbiefanestil: I spoke to Craig technologies and they are not affliated with you in any way...and they said they do not handle interviews through instant messanging and have had a couple other calls about this type of scam...and their security department is now investigating this type of activity. you are dishonest...and using their company name illegally...and I am going to make everyone I can think of aware of your scam
