Warning to Dodge Durango owners:

I have a 2002 Dodge durango currently with 30,000 miles on it. This vehicle since the day i took it out of the dealership has been nothing but constant problems. Not even a month after taking the vehicle home i heard a strange sound when shifting into gears, i took it to the dealer and they checked it the mechanic came back to tell me that the transmition had to be replaced, they promised me a brand new transmition from the factory even though i contacted the Daimler Chrysler Dodge and informed them that i wanted a new vehicle which they would not comlpy.

i continued having premature brake problems where the pads would fail, the rotors needed work on.

About a month ago i was heading to my sons Baseball game and while driving to the field i heard a loud noise and grinding coming from the rear end and just as i'm entering the ballfield the entire axle fell off the vehicle, the sound was so loud i thought someone had sruck my truck, the vehicle joltted violently and lucky for me it did not occur in the highway, again i towed it to the dealer.

Today Sept 28th 2004 i go to get my vehicle inspection, and the mechanic informs me that he cannot pass my inspection because the upper and lower ball joints are so bad and loose that they are unsafe, so again i go to the dealer, they know me well by now, lucky for me i have about 6,000 miles before my warranty expires, however after researching the internet Ball joints should last much much longer than 30,000 miles i drive on normal roads, no off-round driving.

this seems to be ridiculous problems with this vehicle, premature failure of parts, and i'm affraid what will go next, will this continue, could this be something the company has failed to address concerning thease suv's.
