Ok ....... i signed up because I wanted a free credit report. What I got, was anything BUT.

First I see a charge on my credit card for 12.95. My account was automatically renewed. FINE, I'm sure i missed that fine print. I immediately called, and asked for a refund. No go. So after 10 attempt by the lady on the phone, to get me to continue if they give me a free month, I got angry at her and she confirmed that she will cancel my account. The account will remain accessbily until Jan 12th 2007 I was told.

FINE, I think its all over with, and I'm only out $13. I can deal with that.

Fast forward 5 days later. I get an email about changes to my credit report. Interested, I click the email and log in. Absoutely no new information.

I go to use a few $ on my card the next day, and the card does not work. I check my statement to see a 13.95 charge my on credit card, and a $30 overdraft fee. There is a different toll-free number listed, with the same *CIC* indicating it was from this company. I immediately call the number, and tell them this was an unauthorized charge, and to cancel my account and refund my money. THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ANYTHING, BUT THEY CONFIRM MY ACCOUNT IS CANCELED.

How can I be charged if I don't have an active account??

I have now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of the Southland, California. There, I see there are 2,157 other complaints filed in the last year!!!

I am asking for both charges refunded, and them to pay the $30 overdraft fee. I am also disputing the charges with my credit card company.

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY, FILE A FREE COMPLAINT (((ROR REDACTED LINK FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))
