I thought that I was getting a free credit report from their website; however, when the process was over, I was told that I would be getting additional information by mail. I figured that since my credit was so bad, this was the usual thing. The problems began there and went downhill.

I never received anything by mail and then on December 26, 2002, they tried to charge my MasterCard Debit Card for $79.95 (the charge was denied due to lack of funds). I saw this charge on my account and immediately called my card issuer to get them blocked since this attempt was unauthorized. I was informed that the issuer could not block this merchant unless I froze the account and had a new card issued.

I was told to call the merchant to have them stop trying to charge my account. I did not get around to calling. I figured that since it was denied, that was the end of it. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of it. They tried to charge my account again on January 8, 2003. This time, I called them and told them to stop their unauthorized and illegal attempts of charging my account.

I was told that the charges shouldn't have happened past the first time since that denial caused my account to be canceled. I told them that it had happened again and I wanted it to stop. I called again after the January 22nd charge attempt and got the same story. They tried again on the 29th and 31st. I decided that I needed to put a stop to this again, but before I could get them again, the zapped me today for the amount, which I happened to have in the account. Now I'm out of the money.

What can I do about this? What do I do now?

They charged me over and over again, even though my 'account' was closed and even though they told me that they would stop. Ugh!!!
