In February 2014 I invested in a flip phone and service from Cellular one who is endorsed by AARP.  As a member of such, I thought that it would be a good investment, especially since on its TV endorsement which appears on TNT, it is stated that the first 30 days are free.  I canceled my service well within the first 30 days as my daughter wanted to include my on her plan which would be much cheaper and include many more options.  My bill which began at 24.95, is now 51.95, even though I have turned them over to AARP.  When I talked with AARP the CR told me that I was the 6th person that week that had called and filed a complaint against Cellular One.  I explained to them that I refused to pay the bill as it was well with in the 30 days and that the ad was 45 days or 45 units, which I had already used, therefore I owed them, and not the other way around.  I have told them that there was nothing but the 30 days stated in the ad, and that I was not paying on it based on that information.  Evelyn

 The ad states that a CUSTOMER is going to get 30days for free. Since YOU did not stay the 30 days, then YOU owe them for the time YOU used. You CANNOT try and fall back on the ad as YOU invalidated the ad by cancelling your service. YOU never made it to 30 days!! I guess YOUR behavior is to be expected. Its a COMMON FACT that old people refuse to change. This would require to change and accept that YOU screwed YOURSELF over by NOT staying the 30 days. Its an incentive for CUSTOMERS and NOT people who change their mind after the fact. Get over it because YOU have NOT been ripped off!! Its the other way around, YOU are ripping THEM off. They CANNOT sell that phone now. Once it touched YOUR EAR once, they now have to scrap the phone. So them asking you to pay for the service YOU used is only FAIR!!!!Your parents must be SO PROUD of the scammer they raised.
