As the manufacturer we do require the orignals. When you recieve that form, usually a thermal ( one printed from the register) there is a 1800 number on that. You can call us regarding that info and usually something can be worked out. I'm not sure on which particular product you purchased but if you have recieved a ncc ( non-compliance card) in the mail from toshiba stating " you did not recieve an original upc" , you can make a photocopy of the bottom of the laptop and along with the postcard you recieved can mail that back to us for resubmission and from there we will process the rebate. Takes aprox 2-3 weeks if not sooner to get the corect info in the computer and from there a check is mailed out ASAP. If toshiba directed you back to the store it's because that's because COMPUSA is a seperate company and it's not an attempt to give you the run around.

We went back to COMPUSA today. 4/12/03 BTW THE last time I will step inside a Compusa store. We got very persistant with the general manager about this CompUSa and Toshiba rebate nonsence. We walked away with the rebate amount in cash, although they wanted to put it on our COMPUSA card. NO WAY<> The other manager always said he was multitasking<> he would not look you in the eyes. Realily He did not want to help you in any shape or form<> I also called the person that sold us the laptop, and he said unfortunatly I can not help you at all buddy. BUDDY???? So today we went to the head General Manager with the store, and he helped us with no problem. He even asked the other manager, why this had not been taken care of? I want everyone to know this and maybe other people can also get their rebate problems fixed as easy. I found this address on anther complaint, so am including it for others to see.
