DO NOT BUY FROM COMP USA. I am sure like most people using this sight I am too little too late in doing my research, but from the 86 related rip off reports related to this company, I can only hope it not only helps people to make a better informed decision when purchasing a product as expensive and important to your daily routine as a laptop but helps this inferior, sham of a computer store to realize the third party warranty group they are saving a few bucks on is going to eventually bankrupt them (like circuit city and tiger direct both unfortunate enough to use this rediculous sham of a warranty group and now bankrupt). I bought this warranty from a sales associate at this store, with no means of a visible contract, being told the warranty policy could only be mailed to me after I purchased (yes very stupid of me to trust people, I know). I asked the sales associate prior to purchasing this agreement for over $250.00, if the accidental coverage I was purchasing for the laptop would cover breakage related to my children, because I have 4 of them and anyone with children knows the potential of destruction they are capable of. The sales associate assured that the accidental coverage was the best coverage they offered, and would cover ANY accident, including the children having an accident with it. I continued to try and find out about the coverage, as much as I could considering they refused to allow me a written agreement to read prior to the purchase of the contract. Not wanting to buy such an expensive piece of equipment with out a warranty I reluctantly purchased this agreement under the assumption that the store would stand behind their product and warranty service. Well I am obviously on this site because this was not the case! My monitor was broken 8 weeks after I bought the laptop, a small crack in the corner. I explained to the warranty group, the sales associate, and manager at comp usa that I had set my computer on the table, went to the bathroom and when I came back it was broken, the only one in the room was my nine month old son in his walker, and I was not sure exactly how it broke, but was assuming that my son must have bumped the table it was on and rthe screen fell shut. Not only did they refuse to fix it, they told I was negligent for leaving my child in the same room as the computer while I went to the bathroom! They became irate, and after four hours on the phone with the store and the warranty group who did nothing but point the finger at each other saying it was the other one responsability to fix it. When I explained to the store manager and sales associate I spoke to the situation regarding my laptop they agreed itt should be covered, when I told the warranty group the store had told me my situation should be covered, not only after the report of the accident, but had promised prior to the purchase that such an issue would be covered prior to purchasing this warranty they told me to take it up with the store then and get them to fix it! and then hung up on me. I have never been treated so rudely by a service industry in my life and can promise I personally will never trust this warranty group or any store careless enough to do business with them! If you want to get a warranty for any type of electronics go to Best Buy. My sister had cracked her monitor on her laptop and best buy not only fixed it but replaced her hard drive with an upgrade no questions asked. Go Best Buy, they are a company that stands behind their warranties Comp USA is definitely not, Please don't make the same mistake I did.  Sincerely disgruntled customer.

We apologize for your experience and would like to help resolve this for you. Unfortunately your post did not include enough indentifying information for us to find your order and follow up further. Since you made this purchase in a retail store there should be an order number at the bottom of your receipt. Please contact me at (800-955-1888 ext 5384) and provide the order number so I can intervene on your behalf. Alternatively if you dont have the order number I can use your warranty contract number or your name and phone number to follow up further. Accidental damage service plans do cover damage from accidental impacts, drops, bumps and liquid spills that occur during normal handling and were ready to escalate this issue with the warranty provider as needed to obtain a favorable resolution. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Thank you
